UPDATE: I returned to the Subway to speak with the manager, who was not present. The employee said the manager just had surgery and won’t be able to get back to me for awhile. After taking down my name and phone number, she also said “Nothing is going to come from it”. I highly encourage the avoidance of this unprofessional staff and establishment!
In an attempt to find a late-night meal, I was driving on 6th Ave and noticed the illuminated OPEN sign at this particular Subway. As most establishments have closed at this time, I was happy to have found one that was open.
At 9:50PM, I parked and approached the door. The sign displaying the operating hours said they were open until 10:00PM, so I entered. The employee came out from the back and immediately looked at the clock on/near her cash register as if she were looking for a way out of helping me.
When she realized it wasn't 10:00PM yet, she asked me what I wanted. I tried to be polite and lighthearted, understanding that it was the end of the day. Part of the workstation had already been cleaned and cleared out. I asked her what she had left, to make it as easy as possible for her. She told me she still has EVERYTHING left.
I asked for a "footlong on Italian herbs and cheese". She grabbed the bread and started placing meat on it. I asked her what she was making and she told me that she thought I asked for a "black forest ham" sandwich. I DO NOT EAT PORK.
When I told her I was really after the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, she threw a tantrum like a child as she huffed and puffed and walked away from me and into the back of the restaurant. At 9:55PM, I told her never mind and left. She came around the counter behind me, locked the door, and turned off the lights and open sign. Then in plain sight leaned against the counter and pulled out her cell phone. I have a time-stamped video I took that shows the employee and all lights off at 9:55PM right after I re-entered my vehicle.
I strongly encourage you to pull the video footage from inside this restaurant on July 5th, 2021 from 9:50-9:55 PM. This is unacceptable behavior from not only an employee...
Read moreI went in around 4:30pm on I believe Monday, and there was only a young boy working. All he did was complain about how he wanted to go home, and how all the customers before me told him he needed to change his attitude and he did a bad job. I kept quiet and he put my my sandwich in the oven (I tiraste jalapeños and green peppers on my veggie sandwich and he had already over added the veggies on it but I could just pick them off) but he went to go ring me up and had to do a cash pull instead, which he had commented on how he just did one and pulled only 20$ and left it out on the counter in front of me. I commented (because I used to work for a subway) that he may need to try and pull more than 20$, and he said he wasn’t allowed to (improperly trained). And then as he was doing that my sandwich was down in the toaster and he let it beep for 2 minutes and took his time to open the oven and then my sandwich was burnt. All I get are Lettuce and Pickles plus sauces, and when I asked for lettuce and pickles he took a huge handful and just set it on the sandwich in a pile and I asked him “Please make my sandwich seriously” which he replied no and then threw the pickles on and just laughed and I told him never mind I don’t want it and began to walk out and he said “Wait don’t go! If you go I’ll eat your sandwich” Worst experience in my life. I have worked customer service for 5 years and never once have I seen an employee as bad as this one. I’ve read other reviews and see what I figure is him giving other customers trouble as well. I drove 10 minutes to a different subway just to get my order. Never wasting my...
Read moreUntil today, I've had no extraordinary experiences here (good or bad), but today was a bit different. I fully understand that working fast food can be tough, and I'm not upset, but I did want to mention it to others. We enter and there's an employee (1) finishing an online order, they say they'll be with us in a minute. Maybe ten minutes pass (there were no other customers in the store), another employee (2) comes in from the back and asks for help with something. E1 agrees to help if E2 helps at the front. E2 does not. E1 then finishes the sandwiches and says they'll look at the thing in the back if E2 helps us. E2 comes out and asks if the sandwiches are ours, we say no, they ask if we've ordered yet, we say no. E2 then rushes to the sink and gets our order, and from there the experience was normal as ever. It's worth noting that once E2 realized what had happened, they were VERY apologetic. Honestly, I didn't mind, but the people I was with did; I also wanted to pass this along to any impatient subway customers, to avoid any fuss for customers or for the employees. Aside from today though, like I said, I've never had any issues here and it's a pretty...
