Ruby's — Restaurant in Tahlequah

I tried this restaurant twice.

1. Flys in the bakery cabinet where the cupcakes and cakes are stored. First time to call in order.
2. The cook in the back refused to give bread that went with soup because I purchased numerous orders on one single ticket. I was told they do not give bread to multiple soup orders only if ordered separately. Giving a Second chance:
3. I purchased two French dips both burnt (blackened) on top of bread which you could also smell the burnt in the bag. The girl ringing up my order opened the box and shut it quickly. And put other items I ordered in the bag on top of sandwiches I guess so I would not notice the burnt sandwiches and smell. I was done with this restaurant at this point The customer service is horrible, argued with me about giving me all that I ordered and purchased. This happened on both visits. Not sure with this type of service they will be open long. I know I am not the only customer they treat like this. Horrible Restaurant!!

Ruby's uses the same recipes as Kelly's used to do, if you have been in Tahlequah long enough to remember Kelly's. They make the best potato soup ever! Golden deliciousness is what my youngest sister aptly calls it. And their desserts are to die for. I love the Peanut Butter cake and the Mississippi Mud cake. They are probably my two favorites, though I don't think they make a dessert that I don't like. My only complaint would be that they use Miracle Whip rather than real mayonnaise which ruins the BLT for me. I wish they offered a choice. Then they...

The food is great. But the service was completely terrible the couple of times that I've been. My husband and I went once, and the waitress sat us and took our order, but then pretty much forgot about us after that. Someone different brought our food out. Then to top it off, our waitress sat at a table playing on her phone the whole time, never checked on us once and we actually needed refills. After sitting there and staring at her, waiting for some sort of acknowledgment or eye contact that never happened, we got up and left without tipping. And...
