I paid over $15 for a mediocre (at best) Chicken Ceasar Wrap and bottom notch service. A woman was running the cash register and, while she was very busy multi-tasking, was nice, offered recommendations, and was efficient at her job. The praise worthy parts of the experience ended there, unfortunately. I'll admit that I didn't notice the sandwiches were served with a pickle, so it's my own fault I couldn't eat the sad little cold hashbrown I received because it was soaked in pickle juice. The rest is on them. I wasn't a college girl with a crop top on, so I missed out on the above and beyond service I watched some tables receive. They had their food delivered to the table with a smile and asked if there was anything they needed. I got my name screamed across the restaurant, then I wandered around looking for it. I tried several times to get someone's attention but was subsequently ignored. I finally found my food on the other side of the restaurant on top of a counter that was about over my head. The flavor of the chicken was good, but there was no ceasar dressing in my wrap and there wasn't much chicken either. The restaurant itself was very crowded with little space to move around in through high traffic areas, such as the drink machine/trash area.
Overall, I gave it 2 stars because they lady at the cash register was kind and helpful. As a first time patron, I would not recommend this to my friends and colleagues, nor do I have immediate plans to return. The menu is overpriced, the restaurant layout is underplanned, and the service was lackluster to...
Read moreI'm from NJ and good bagels are hard to find outside of the tristate area. I'd read/heard rave reviews of the authentic ny/nj style bagels here.
It was hard to judge the quality of the bagel because they toasted it without asking. Real ones know that good, fresh bagels don't need to be toasted. Toasting is for trying to fix a bagel that isn't really a bagel (i.e. wasn't boiled before baking) or is a day or more old and getting stale. Some people prefer it toasted and that's fine! It just shouldn't be the default assumption.
The nova and iced coffee were good and the service was friendly, though.
I realize I probably sound crazy but I paid $15 for this meal so I have to be honest! I still encourage people to try this local business and NOT buy a bagel from Dunkin no matter what. I'll just specify non-toasted next time and then update...
Read moreMy wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Bagel Bagel in Tallahassee, and it was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Whether you're in the mood for a classic bagel sandwich or something more unique, this spot delivers on all fronts.
A special shoutout to the owner, who was incredibly gracious and accommodating, making sure our first experience was a great one. As newcomers to Tallahassee, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the local food scene. Without a doubt, Bagel Bagel will be our go-to spot whenever we’re in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and even...
