NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! I ordered through DoorDash the Spicy Mala Shrimp, House Lo Mein, and Cheese Wantons. Count One: At some point the shrimp was changed to chicken (that was not going to be an issue for me, even though I chose the option to Contact Me if an item is sold out/unavailable); Count Two: The "chicken" was a bland tofu-like food that had NO taste and NO spicy seasonings at all; Count Three: When I called to express my concerns, I was essentially told that if the dish I received had vegetables and rice, it was definitely the Spicy Mala Chicken. In other words, I realized that the employee had already made the decision that I don't know what I ordered and what spicy food should taste like and I don't know what chicken is!! Add to all this the fact that after living in Tallahassee since 1975 and enjoying many Chinese, Cantonese and Japanese cuisine establishments - shout out to New China and Hong Kong Chinese Restaurants as two of the best around - Long Garden managed to serve up the most bland UN-Chinese food I've EVER had AND they will deny, deny, deny. Sorry, I can't recommend LGCR to anyone wanting to have a real Chinese food experience as a valuable customer. I WOULD recommend Hong Kong Restaurants or New China or China...

Pretty terrible food. I ordered the bourbon chicken and orange chicken fried rice combo platter and the food was the worst Chinese I've had in tally. The bourbon and orange glazes were lazily coated and not homemade. The chicken itself also tasted very rubbery. The breading on the orange chicken was too thick and oiley. But it wasn't as bad as the Egg rolls because they were DRENCHED in oil that It was seriously inedible. Many of the onion pieces were very dirty. The food clearly wasn't cooked with care and it makes me cringe to think about how unsanitary the kitchen and food must be. I seriously can't finish this food because I think it will make me sick and it's a shame too considering I spent 20 bucks on this. If you want good Chinese food in town, do yourself a favor and don't go here. Even Publix Chinese food is waaaay better than this! If you want good Chinese food then try Great Wall on Tennessee St. I really wanted to like this place but it is clear that serving quality food is not Long Garden's...

They give large portions and use fresh ingredients, but the food could have used more flavor. If you like spice/ heat make sure to ask for your dish extra spicy. I got the szechuan chicken, which is advertised as being spicy. It was good tasting, good sauce, but definitely not what I would call spicy at all. Throughout the dish I found just a few small pieces of the peppers they add for the heat factor.

I also got the chicken rice noodles which texturally were great but flavor wise were very bland. I love how thin the noodles are but there didn’t seem to be any sauce and the chicken appears to be steamed with no seasoning. The good part is that they gave me a TON. I’m going to have left overs for days because they filled that container to the brim. I’m just going to add my own seasoning and sauce whenever I do heat it up again.
