Waffle House — Restaurant in Tallahassee

I don't like bad reviews but I feel I'm obligated to. My mother and sister have worked for waffle house for years so I'm well aware of the standards. I feel like I grew up in one. This waffle house however was one of the worst I've ever experienced. I come in, it's dead and I sit down while everyone is on their phones listening to music. I noticed dirty tables and a dirty kitchen with a lack of food timers going. They asked me if I'd be doing takeout and almost seemed dismayed at the thought of me dining in. I knew what I wanted and ordered from the one person that acknowledged I was in the restaurant. They then went and hunted down the cook for that shift so he could attempt to make some food. His station was atrocious to look at. I can understand things getting messy but it's impressive how bad it was considering it was dead all day. My server had to go on break (due to federal law for minors) which seemed to annoy the cook more. He couldn't be bothered to hand me (the only person in the restaurant) my food and tried hiding how he butchered a waffle by flipping it upside down. He then went back to his cave where I didn't see him for most of the visit. My server, despite being on break, got up to at least give me the food so it didn't have to keep sitting there as it had already been a few minutes dying in the window. Everyone went back to their phones. I ate and food was ok, a bit burnt and quickly thrown together. Never got a refill, headphones and instagram made it hard for anyone to notice anything. Ultimately, just incredibly disappointing and I understand why it was so dead now. Service was nearly non existent (except for the one minor server) and place was filthy and food probably had sat out too long. I don't expect a lot but I know what a good or even a somewhat decent waffle house can do and this wasn't it. I wish them the best...

I really enjoyed my first time at this Tallahassee Waffle House. I've been to the one on Capital Circle near Lowe's many times. From the time I walked in there I felt welcomed. I was with a friend and their kids and they youngest had wanted to eat there for a while. I enjoyed my burger so much and watched as the others chowed through all the waffle they could handle. Our waitress was names Saturn and she was such an amazing waitperson. She was patient with the girls who could only speak Spanish . She remembereds everything we asked for. She was not spacy as her name may conjurie up images of. She walked is through how to use our money wisely and I finally realized that I had only one regret.. that I could not tip her thirty or more percent because she was worth it. The restaurant was clean and shiny. It didn't smell too greasy and the food was the best WH food I've ever had U would recommend this to families with children as well as friends family and the random stranger Try it and pick and choose the best. I love waffle house but not this location. We walked in, there was 2 waitresses and a cook. It was dead there was only 4 of us in the there. We cleaned our own table waitress came we ordered 2 waters I ordered an all star with sausage, scrambled eggs hashbrowns all the way. My husband ordered an all star bacon, sunny side up eggs and hashbrowns smothered covered chunked diced peppered and capped. We got our sausage and bacon then our water. 3 to 5 mins pass and our food comes out my plate was perfect... but hubby's eggs were scrambled so told the waitress he ordered sunny side up. She leaves with his plate comes back with a new plate with is hashbrowns and toast. eggs will be out shortly he mixed up his hashbrowns it wasn't chunked he called her back told her he is missing his ham. She takes the plate back to get ham. Finally he has his eggs and his hashbrowns. He had to ask for a fork.:/ She only checked on us once asking are you straight... and to give us the bill. Idk
