Lucky Goat Coffee — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Lucky Goat is one of my preferred stops for cold brew coffee. This is largely because they're the only café I know that sells it by the gallon. They're in my top three for flavor and consistent quality.

My biggest gripe with this location is the parking lot. The lot is small and generally full. It's not the easiest to get back out of, especially if you failed to find a space. If you did find a space, be careful backing out. It's too easy to check your mirrors and, seeing an empty and marked parking spot behind you, proceed to back into a very large concrete boulder/obstacle that no one has attempted to improve the visibility of. Unfortunately, though large enough to be quite immovable, these well-placed hazards are not tall enough to see in your mirrors. Probably my favorite of the Lucky Goat locations, even if it doesn't have the same nostalgia of the original!

The Lucky Goat Coffee shop on S. Adams is the largest of the locations and has provided more than enough spacing, which is especially comforting during Covid. The quality of the drinks are just as good, so you don't have to worry about that. But my favorite part is the closeness of Cascades Park! After sitting and studying/reading for a bit, you can get up and moving again with a relaxing walk through Cascades. That's the kind of balance you need in a good coffee shop!

The only thing to note is the changing hours of this location. Due to its proximity to FSU, it is tied into the semester and can be closed or limited in hours for weeks on end while students are out for the holidays. I can’t say enough about this place. The best coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve always needed cream and sugar until this coffee. This place was so good it almost kept me from dropping out of FSU. I would open a franchise of this place in my home state if someone gave me $200,000. I can’t drink any other coffee after the lucky goat. Nothing else compares. I hope you find something in life you love as much as I love lucky goat. I have never found love but if it doesn’t feel like lucky goat I don’t want it. This is not a sponsored message.
