I am from New Jersey so I am so excited that there is finally a Primo's Hoagies in the panhandle. This is a brand new store so I'm not really understanding why people are being so hard on the staff. You got to give a new store a little bit of time to get everything together and find a great flow. I walked in and I was greeted immediately. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You can tell things were still a little bit new but it's understandable. They sell a whole bunch of cheese and other toppings in the refrigerator section. I got the Buffalo cheddar cheese things and it was delicious. It was actually Spicy. I'm also obsessed with Primo's roasted red peppers. I ordered the Primo size Italian hoagie I think I got the mild one but I don't remember. I asked for a roasted red peppers on the side but I got some other weird sweet pepper instead. The hoagie is just as delicious here as it is in New jersey. I was asking a whole bunch of questions and they ship the bread in from Philadelphia. That's how they keep up with the quality and consistency. It's so good. People are complaining about the price but it's a lot of food and it's coming from philadelphia. They have herr's potatoe chips too which I don't know where else they sell them around here. I cannot wait to go back. Definitely sign up for their loyalty program. You get text message updates when they're having sales on...
Read moreI really wanted to like Primo Hoagies. When I saw that they originated in Philadelphia and offered Philly and northeast specialties, I was excited. But what we received was disappointing.
I love a Philly roast pork sandwich which are almost more popular in Philly than a cheesesteak. So we ordered the Abruzzi: roast pork, sharp provolone and broccoli rabbe. We also ordered a Mild Sharp Italian: prosciutto, sharp provolone, capicola and salami. We also ordered a macaroni salad and a pickle.
First the good news: the bread is apparently baked every day and it was a pretty authentic Italian hoagie roll. And the sharp provolone was indeed quite sharp.
But the rest wasn't so good. The Abruzzi came without the broccoli rabbe, which is a critical item in a 3 item sub. So we just received pork and provolone. And, sadly, the pork was very dry. The Italian sub came with plain ham instead of capicola. The sandwich was just ok.
We never received the macaroni salad or the pickle.
I recognize they are new, but every single item was wrong or missing. That's kinda hard to overlook. And the quality of the meats was just ok and, as mentioned above, the pork was very dry.
Given other wonderful sandwich shops in town, I'm not sure if we...
Read moreOkay let me start off by saying that anyone who loves sandwiches, you’ve GOT to try this place! Right when I walked in, I got greeted by smiling faces and overall had such a welcoming atmosphere first coming through the doors. The ordering process was quick and easy with the help of the assistant manager, Mia. She explained the menu throughly and made the ordering process a delight. The manager who I learned went by Ted, gave me my hoagie after a not long wait and made me feel very comfortable in the establishment. He was very charismatic and extremely sweet, with a nice bright welcoming smile on his face. The hoagie itself was phenomenal! The quality of meat and produce is very important to me, considering that I love sandwiches. Compared to Publix, they have much better quality veggies and deli meat. How they slice their meat is thin, making it light but also juicy. While on the other hand, Publix sandwiches tends to be more bread than meat or veggies. Overall, this place is really good & made me very comfortable to be there which is a...
