When you get any pasta dish anywhere as your eating it the sauce will start going into the pasta. So I usually ask for extra sauce when I order my meal. I forgot this time so I asked for a little bit more sauce. But when I got the bill there's a $2.00 charge. I asked what this was for and she said it was for the sauce. I asked what would happen if I ordered extra sauce when I ordered my meal. She said that they would still charge the $2.00. I explained what happens that the sauce goes into the pasta she agrees with me and that they put the bare minimum of sauce on. I said that this was the first time that I was charged for extra sauce in "Any Restaurant" including another Applebee's that I go to. $2.00 for about maybe 4 ounces of sauce that's ridiculous. Edit: i took my mother out to dinner the other night at this same Applebee's and I forgot about the charge for extra sauce and again I get charged for it. Take note Applebee's on how not to treat a customer if you're the only one doing this. When I go to Olive Garden and ask for extra sauce they don't charge me. I don't know if this is an individual restaurant decision or corporate. All I know is that the one by my house didn't charge me the last time I was there. If you're going to not put a fair amount of sauce on a meal and if the customer asks for more sauce that should already be on it then charge you for it to me is an unfair business practice. The meal that I get when I go is a good meal it would be a great meal if it had the right amount of sauce. PS the only reason that we went this last time is that she didn't want to go to Olive Garden as she just ate there recently and wanted something else. The servers where all overly chatting about how poorly the manager was running things, poorly staffed, clearly not enough servers, no bartender, no support staff, and all we heard was "the bar is extremely backed up". Not good when your staff is calling for a change, ESPECIALLY to the clientele.
Several take out orders were running behind, Uber drivers upset because they're having to wait 15 mins. Servers doing food runner work, which didn't allow them to take care of customers. Customers waiting over 45 minutes for food. A couple next to us ordered 2 BOTTLES OF BEER.... let me repeat that ... 2 BOTTLES of beer.... They received their food, and ate their entire meal BEFORE their drinks arrived.... Im sorry, why wasn't the manager behind the bar??? Helping cook food??? Helping run food??? I never saw them once... If your that short staffed you need to HIRE PEOPLE!!!! Where are you making your money??? AT THE BAR!!!!!!!!!
When we left at 515, At least 30 people at the door waiting to get in. Plenty of seating, but there is a line out the door.
My daughter's cheese burger came with condiments we specifically asked not to have (ie: pickles, and tomatos), my wife's chicken Mac and cheese was basically watered down cheese sauce, I had the shrimp and chicken burbon which was actually pretty good.
What does this all point to??? Mismanagement. Time to clean house. Hire staff, hire bartenders, and clean this place up. What a shame. I don't think we'll be back, since we haven't been to this location before.
By the way, hats off to our server that was doing his best with the incredibly difficult situation his management...

I donāt understand there was only one waitress doing the job of a hostess and the job of a waitress. Itās unfortunate we wasnāt offered any waters while we look over the menus we waited over 10 minutes for someone to come back and see if we ready for to order I put in some order for drinks from the bar we waited over 15 minutes for a two alcoholic beverages mind you not this is not during a rush maybe it was 3 others table being served. Me and my friend girl received our drinks they were made wrong and just weak however we still tried to make the best of while sipping on our weak alcoholic beverages we didnāt get to place any order for the food until maybe 20-30 mins after waiting a long time for two drinks. We didnāt get any water , no napkins , no straws no utensils and itās because we were dining in I go to chills and literally donāt have to experience this. The appetizers weāre practically cold and not even fresh which is sad because we waited so long to even put in a order for food the spinach dip was not hot and the mozzarella sticks were also not hot ! Why am I being served cold mozzarella sticks , our buffalo wings were overcook and they were so hard Iām not sure if it was freezer burnt but this experience was trash . Next our two entrees were made wrong and the overall presentation and quality of the food was disappointing and awful I will not be returning to apple bees itās ridiculous I spent $83.00 when I couldāve had an excellent at chills for a cheaper price I will be reaching out to my bank...
