I am so sad that the past two times I went there were a bad experience. (I have only been 7 times in total but I kept coming back for the amazing grape salad) It was amazing the first two times I went; fresh grapes, Gorgonzola cheese, fresh mixed greens, mushrooms, sunflower seeds and a lovely raspberry dressing. The third time, when I got take out, I felt cheated because the portion was so much smaller than when I ate in. So I decided to only dine-in for these in the future. My fourth visit was good and so I had my family in for the fifth which was also good. Then something happened and on the sixth visit my salad was not very good, in place of the sweet-tasting red grapes were bitter green ones and the lettuce did not taste very good either. I asked about the change in grapes before leaving and was told by the man that made my salad that he was trying to clear out old stock so I told myself this was just bad luck. I was back again yesterday hoping for a great salad and sadly it was the worst yet. This time I did ask if red grapes were in stock to avoid the bitter green ones and was told they were, so I hoped that this would be a good experience. I got my salad but I could instantly tell something was off from the smell of spoiled mushrooms (they were oozing). I thought this is not good but I can probably just avoid those and so I picked around them but the salad was bad too most of the cabbage leaves had black slime on the edges and the greens were very wilted except for a spinach leaf here and there. The whole thing had a smell of food gone bad in the refrigerator. I did eat a few grapes that were in there and some of the cheese but decided it would not be healthy for me to even attempt to eat anything else in that salad so I left. I truly hope that this place can invest in fresh food and get more customers in so this does not keep happening because the customers should not have to waste their money and risk their health on spoiled food - it would be better to toss it and just say it's out of stock and offer other things that may not be in such bad condition (just my opinion though). I will probably return once more next month to see if things get better but too high...
Read moreVegans beware.. I have ordered from their Vegan menu a handful of times & although the pizza is good, staff does not take any caution when separating vegan and non vegan dishes. This is now the second time i’ve ordered from Gourmet Pizza Company & I find my food not to be vegan. Traveling 30 mins for this food was already pushing it for me but I was also giving them a second chance to redeem themselves from the last encounter I had with them & the same exact thing happening to me. On the drive home of course I can’t help but to grab a few slices & get a taste in. I ordered a vegan pepperoni & vegan bbq chikkn pizza. After eating a slice of the bbq chikkn’ pizza when I almost arrived back home I began to endure terrible stomach cramping. Instantly paranoia kicked in & I knew the pizza had real meat and cheese on it. After examining the pizza further I confirmed that nothing on that pizza was vegan. I was absolutely disgusted. Instantly regretting my decision to give them another chance. It’s sad honestly because I had high hopes for this business to be a great vegan option in Tampa Bay but I should have know not to mix & mingle with a vegan/non vegan establishment especially one that has deceived me before. After reporting this to the restaurant I received a genuine apology which was appreciated to an extent but as serious as this matter was I am leaving this review as a cautionary health risk & also as a notification to the business that you MUST train your staff better & come up with better procedures & be more responsible as a restaurant that markets to the Vegan community as well. I don’t understand how your staff do not know the difference between your product. Also, the fact that the man at the counter confirmed my order for me when handing me the pizzas was a joke itself as clearly he did not look at the pizzas before...
Read moreWe are new to Tampa and ordered a pizza, flatbread, breadsticks and a salad for delivery. The flatbread didn't come as advertised, it came with cheese and didn't indicate that it did. The other flatbreads on the menu specifically said they came with cheese.
We called to get a replacement and were offered a credit, a redelivery or we could come in and pick it up. We opted for a redelivery. This was at 8:30 PM and we were told it would be his next delivery on he returned. After an hour I decided to call back and check the status and a manager named Fitz picked up. He said that it had already been delivered, I informed him that it hasn't been delivered.
He looked up the order and wasn't able to locate it so I gave have him the order number from Uber eats. He them told me, that I should have told him that from the beginning. I mentioned that it that was information he needed that should have been something he asked. He then told me it had been delivered to another address on our street. Which tells me they never remade the pizza.
I told him that this wasn't acceptable because my 9 year old has been waiting for dinner and now has to find an alternative due to the time. He basically said their mistake was my fault and that I had to call Uber eats to get it corrected.
At the end of the day they made a mistake and failed miserably to correct it. Fitz is the rudest manager I have ever spoken to, he hung up on me several times while trying to figure this out. This will not be an establishment that we EVER eat at again. The food wasn't that good, I've had better gas station pizza than their product.
I hope when I speak with the owners tomorrow about Fitz and my experience that they releave him of his career in food service and rethink how they...
