Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Tampa

I just want to extend a big appreciation and thanks to the workers at this location. I ordered over the website but due to my location, my delivery was through third party. With tonight being Valentines Day, I wanted to do something special for my kids and order them the heart pizza. My first dasher I received dropped it off to a completely different apartment complex down the street and was not willing to help fix the mistake. Most businesses, when going through DoorDash as the delivery, are quick to make you go through DoorDash for any issues and don’t care to fix any mess ups. This was the first place I’ve ordered from that actually helped after the mishap and was quick to redeliver to us. The food came fantastic, still fresh despite taking some time to find an driver and I cannot stress again how them having the patience to help really turned the night around. Extremely disappointed with our experience on 06/25. I placed a delivery order over the phone directly with the store. The driver went to the wrong address 7 minutes away and when informed of the mistake, simply asked, "What do you want me to do? Should I leave it at this address?". Despite being told to complete the delivery to the originally provided address (which was already paid for), he never showed up.

I called the store to report the issue, only to be told it was DoorDash’s responsibility, even though the order was placed directly with a store employee. After that, the staff hung up on me multiple times until the store closed.

Unacceptable service and complete lack of accountability. Be warned - if anything goes wrong, you may be ignored and left without your food or a resolution.

I’ve had A LOT of pizza. And within that lot, is a good amount of trying different hungry howies from here to Michigan. If this location is a franchised location, the owners and managers of this location should be hired to give seminars on how to properly run a hungry Howies. Near closing, on Wednesday (very busy day for them) and this is by far my best hungry howies experience ever. The customer service was top notch. And now I feel like a d bag not tipping, but sadly, I became used to poor service and this was a late night last resort. Boy, was I wrong. You won’t have a better experience at any other HHP.
