I visited this location today. I want to address the cashier woman at the front with the red hair. 1st the gloves she was wearing were covered in the consume sauce while she was handling orders and touching the register. I understand being busy but it's not difficult to take gloves off and to change them out. I ordered my food and there was a wait (food is made to order and I get it) The issue that I had was I am waiting for my food at the front and there was another gentleman there on the side of me that was waiting also, he ordered his food after I did he paid AFTER I DID. As my order comes to the front (I can tell it's my order based off of what was on the tray . I ordered 3 quesobirria tacos, guac and chips) She proceeds to hand my order to the gentleman on the side of me (without even checking the ticket or even asking who had what). As I reached out to get the FOOD I ALREADY PAID FOR. I tell her that he was after me and I was before him, she then looks confused/shocked. Hands me my food and only apologizes to him. Mind you she is the same cashier that rung my order up. I am bothered by the fact that she felt the need to apologize to the gentleman and said nothing to me when I stood there the longest, paid for my order first and was BEFORE the person that was standing on the side of me. That experience alone told me that I will never patronize this establishment again. I'm more than understanding when it comes to long lines and wait times. What I am not tolerant of is poor customer service, unsanitariness, being blatantly oblivious and bottom-line rudeness. I do feel that she was biased based off the fact that she apologized to him because she mistakenly tried to give him my order THAT I PAID FOR. Whilst she said nothing to me at all, no empathy or even a small bodily gesture of her understanding that she made an error. It's extremely unfortunate that given this day and age it's to be expected based off where this place is located. It's a beautiful spot, but there needs to be more appreciation and consideration for...
Read moreI saw the pictures online of the quesotacos and I thought they looked really good and I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile. We got our food, my bf ordered chicken and chorizo street tacos and street corn and I got their “quesotacos” and rice and beans with two drinks. The total was $70… we sat down to eat and my bf forced a taco down because he didn’t want to waste the food, and thought the food was absolutely terrible. He tried the chorizo one and immediately could tell the color was brown and not orange like normal chorizo, it was very dry and they tried to mask it with sauce, and he didn’t even attempt to eat the chicken because it was almost cubed like it was from a factory bag and just looked unappetizing. My quesotacos and rice and beans were decent but for a $20 plate you think I would have walked away overly stuffed but after I ate every bite I was still very much hungry. The food is definitely prepped and cooked somewhere else and just reheated in their hot plates. The manager ( I think, but missed her name) was very nice and understanding and refunded the 4 tacos totaling $23 and change.. BUT this restaurant is a waste of money and their food is unsatisfactory. They get away with it by being located in armature works between two other fantastic restaurants. I would give 0 stars but can’t. For my three little tacos with rice and beans water and a soda it was still over $40. For that cost you can go to an ACTUAL Mexican restaurant sit down and have a 4 course meal with tip, and go home very satisfied and...
Read moreOne sunny day in downtown tampa I was rather famished but in an oddly unfamiliar way, I NEEEDED a burrito. I stumbled upon this hipster food hall that realistically, had many options and was filled with gen z'ers posting their myface and instaonlyfan accounts. While I was perplexed, I continued my pursuit for a burrito knowing that trash chipotle was steps away in Hyde Park, ironically with the mothers of the Gen Z posters posting to their respective accounts.
Alas, the clouds opened up and towards the end of the walk, Muchacha's came down like a beam of light that I have experienced. There was an orb, the orb was pointing the quesarita (consumed in a subsequent trip and also rec) but I had just parted the sea of millenials for a burrito so I ordered one. It was filled with a healthy portion of chorizo and steak(I'm pretty creative, I know). Many burritos of it's kind are dry and feel like you are eating a sanding block, well no ma'am, sir or they/them, this was a magical culinary fusion exploding in my mouth. It was moist and voluptuous in ways I did not know existed. I washed it down with a latin soda for a splash of desired assimilation and hummed Vivir Mi Vida continuously.
TLDR; Great burrito, worth the trip, quesarita is unique and solid like nothing else. Get the latin soda, you deserve it and wash it down with bake n babes, you're welcome. Thanks for coming...
