Armiture works is one of my favorite places in Tampa so this has nothing to do with the market but everything to do with Graze. I went to yoga on the lawn yesterday morning and truly enjoyed it and am thankful they offer such nice events to the public...5 out of 5 stars for the market. I dont know what was happening at Graze though; yesterday morning, the staff behind the counter was extremely unfriendly. The cashier would barely look at my friend as she ordered and she would try to small talk politely to him and he refused to say anything back to her. She wished him a nice day and he rolled his eyes at her?! While were waiting for our food we had just finished stirring our coffee and thought we would wait at the bar a few minutes. We sat down for a minute and were told we were not allowed to sit there unless we were ordering food. We explained we had already ordered and would sit somewhere else after we got our food in a couple of minutes. She very rudely told us we had to leave. Suprised, we moved a table back, and about 30 seconds later we got our texts to pick up. Went over to the cashier area and then the same girl yelled at us about going to pick up at the wrong side of the bar. She told us we had to go to the other side. We had no idea where we were supposed to pick up in the first place, and we were kind of afraid to go to the other side where that server was who kicked us out! I understand if you set rules you expect them to be followed, but if you dont actually notify your customers of the rules and then decide to be rude...you lose business. I will always go to armiture works, but Graze has probably lost my business. Below is a pic of yoga on the lawn. Go to that, just eat...
Read moreI love this place. This may be my new favorite place to go to for happy hour deals because they have some killer prices for killer food and drinks. Ava is one of several new restaurants that are popping up in the SoHo area. You may initially look at the dinner menu and think "wow, this is some pricy food." And yeah, while that may be true, the real steal is if you come for happy hour between 4pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday. Not only do you get to have some fantastic food and drinks, you can essentially get a drink, a pizza, and appetizer for around $24. Now I call that a major steal.
I decided to go with some charcuterie and their spicy sausage pizza. Man, that charcuterie really was fantastic. Everything from the cheese down to the dollop of mustard paired together perfectly. The prosciutto, the copa, and the cured duck were all so magnificently rich. So rich that like vapor, they melted on your tongue, leaving behind a fantastic meaty flavor. The Gorgonzola dulche was probably one of the best blue cheeses that I've had. While still having it's unique blue cheese funk and sweetness, the funk wasn't so strong that it overpowered everything. Instead, it had a nice mellow flavor that really allows you to appreciate blue cheese.
The pizza was fantastic as well. Nice crispy crust that is able to stand up to the robust tomato sauce and spicy sausage that was topping the pizza. The use of fresh basil was an excellent enhancement for the various flavors on that pizza.
All in all, I will definitely be back. Not just for happy hour, but everything...
Read moreIt's rare that I take the time to write a review but I feel that the Ava armature works owners/manager should know how bad the service of their employees was tonight. I was waiting over an hour for my order, during which time I kept checking at 15 min intervals because the pager did not ring. Finally I was told they didn't have my order. I overheard the employees saying among themselves that they the ticket dropped behind the counter. But instead of explaining to the customer or apologizing for the wait they just said wait 5 more minutes. Meanwhile my family already finished their meals from other spots & were waiting for me. In the end I was so upset at the employees' disregard & nonchalance that I lost my appetite and skipped dinner. It's too bad because Ava is the best pizza I've had outside Naples italy. I hope the owners can have better employee training. Also pls tell them to wear gloves when preparing food as they look like sloppy students wiping their hands on their...
