Empamamas — Restaurant in Tampa

Sadly this was the worst place I could have been to inside armature works.. food was sloppy and the empanadas fell apart trying to pick them up.. bought chicken tenders for my son and was charged a dollar for honey mustard after asking for it with the meal. Cashier said it only comes with ketchup.. just plain sad when you pay $12 for chicken tenders and fries (kids meal) to have to pay for sauce as well… UPDATE… after getting a response from the owner .. your front staff on the register was not friendly.. but here we go..… 1) when we ordered our food I asked for honey mustard with the chicken fingers/fries. Got our food turned around and my son asked for the sauce which they forgot and was then told to him I had to pay for it…2) we sat directly across from your establishment and when the empanada fell apart I turned and asked the girl at the cashier who was wearing the black logo sweater that hung off her left shoulder if this was normal and was there something wrong with the order she said it’s normal and the put her hands up like I was bothering her to ask…3) to have to pay for a side sauce after after the fact that is approx. maybe 2oz of sauce is ridiculous as a business and yes I do know what I’m talking about when a customer orders a meal it should be correct. 4) to become (butt hurt) over a honest review is only saying of the moral character of this business that also you represent. The food is DELICIOUS! The low mark is honestly for the cashier’s customer service. She wasn’t pleasant at all. She didn’t speak about the menu, didn’t guide in making decisions, didn’t sell the products, nothing. There are TONS of other eateries within this place that can easily score one’s business and the cashier’s demeanor was as though she could care less if you spend your money here or elsewhere. Meanwhile, the chef is in the kitchen working his fingers to the bone cranking out the orders! The place is not a stand alone restaurant, it’s within a food mall, so be mindful because it can be hard to find. The food mall has tables and chairs and lovely nooks and crannies to sit within or without with friends and enjoy your food. The empanadas are everything you’ve always wanted an empanada to be but it never was! They are overstuffed, flavorful, super juicy pies of joy! So delicious, so juicy! You can’t eat more than two, if that. The only way to improve the food is to add more flavors (I wasn't advised if they offer sauces or not, but that could also be an improvement). Otherwise, empamamas is empanada perfection! I scored the atmosphere low because the only thing you can do here is eat, there are no clothing or shopping shops in this food mall. Really terrible experience here. Ordered two tacos & ‘substituted’ the chips & dip for fries. The tacos & chips are $13, fries are $5, and if you ‘substitute’ the chips for fries you’re still paying over $18… that’s not really a substitute. I was confused as to how much the upcharge was & wasn’t given a straight answer. Instead I was given attitude. I walked away in confusion & said ‘I’m confused that doesn’t make sense to me’… I wasn’t talking to anyone I was just speaking to myself out loud then Katie (if that’s her real name) said ‘what was that’ so I repeated myself even tho I wasn’t even talking to her…. She had a nasty attitude & wanted to argue & said it’s not her fault about the prices & blah blah & to leave feedback to the owners Among other things. The girl was hella rude & triggered bc I was genuinely confused about the ‘up charge’. What’s so hard about answering a simple question instead of being rude…. Maybe customer service isnt for her.
