Well I'm at 67 year old woman who has not been to the silver ring cafes since I was probably 16 years old. We used to visit my grandparents in Dunedin like twice a year and that's how we discovered the silver ring. I live in Illinois and I have a bucket list and this is going to happen within the year. Once I read that relatives like the grandchildren of the people who originally had the silver ring we're reopening it I almost fainted. It was the best thing and the most memorable thing I've ever eaten in my life I mean the Cuban sandwich is unbelievable and I believe it's exactly the same way from what I'm reading. I am buying a camper and within the year I am going to go to Tampa to the silver ring in ybor City and I'm going to order so many of those sandwiches. I want to put them in the camper and turn around and come back to Illinois so I can let all these people know what I have talked about all these years. I know I'm not giving you a review, a current review, but I will as soon as I get there and get my Cuban sandwich. I will let you know if it's exactly the same because if it is it's something you'll never forget. So I'll be seeing you soon silver ring and I'll let you know if you're still the same as your...
Read moreI’ve been going to the silver ring Café ever since I was five years old back in 1978. Over the years, I would run long-distance classics like the Gasparilla 15 K, 5K, late nights in Ybor… And would always go to the silvering Café for the most amazing Cuban sandwich, devil crab, garbanzo bean soup, experience. There is no place on this planet better than the silver rain café when it comes to their style of food, and hospitality and service. I’m super grateful, ecstatic, to have this reopen after 40+ years in our backyard again! If you haven’t had the silver ring café, it is a must, even if you’re visiting from out of town it’s close to the airport right at Westshore Mall. I give this food an all around everything five stars. You’re back and better than ever. Thank...
Read moreI recently visited Silver Ring Cafe at Westshore Plaza, and it was like stepping into a delicious time capsule. The Cuban sandwich? Absolute perfection—crispy, warm, and packed with flavor. You can taste the tradition in every bite, especially with their secret sauce that elevates the whole experience.
The deviled crab was another standout—crispy on the outside, rich and savory inside. It’s clear they’ve kept the original recipes alive while adding a fresh energy to the space.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel like a hometown reunion. Whether you’re a longtime fan from the Ybor days or a first-timer, this place is a must-visit for authentic...
