This hotel/motel should be placed at a 2 star level!!!!! I felt like I paid almost $600 to stay in a motel, staying at the Embassy was a challenge. first, there is no bell cart to help take luggage to the room, we had a balcony we could not access (I’m still puzzled about that), the room did not smell nor look clean (Dust everywhere in the room), not enough towels, we didn’t have sheets nor pillows for the let out couch, garbage bags thrown in the can like I’m suppose to reach down and fix it, the refrigerator spoiled our food because it wasn’t cooling properly, gum stains in the carpet. I can absolutely tell our room wasn’t disinfected, I requested sheets to replace the ones that were on (The room was filthy, I was not about to trust those bed sheets). The food in the restaurant coming out the bar on the second floor was horrible ( I have photos), charged $53 for steak that was over cooked, fingerling potatoes that were old and burnt, salmon that has been sitting for who knows how long (the salmon was dry and burnt at the bottom) and the Parmesan fries were cold. The bartender and the assistant that we complained to should work on there customer service, the approach is extremely important to a company/organizations future, when a customer has an issue, respectfully address their concerns, this was not the case. People in my family had bigger rooms under the same group but cheaper than mine and I requested a two room suite with a kitchen nook ( that was not the room I was assigned during my stay). No one I walk pass and communicate with, will never stay at the Embassy again, if they never had the opportunity, awesome, I’ll spare them the disappointment and headache, frustrated their vacation didn’t go as planned. God bless

As a Hilton Diamond member I hate to do this but after making two calls to have local hotel management reach out to me I have heard nothing but crickets. It is tough to get my wife out for travel during these post-COVID times but we have had some good luck with Hilton brand hotels and their cleanliness pledge. This was not the case at this hotel. There were some sort of brown globs attached to the wall. I have attached pics showing the before and after housekeeping came to clean the wall. You can see that whatever it was the paint was removed with it. There were four of us in the room and we could never seem to get enough towels. There were only three sets when we arrived so the calls to housekeeping started right away. Every interaction required a call to the desk because there was a language barrier trying to communicate with the housekeeping staff. We had to make multiple calls each day for towels. There are only ice makers on the even floors but it was a challenge to find one that works. I started on 14. No luck. Went down to 12. No luck. Ten? No luck. I finally picked up the courtesy phone by the elevators and told the operator my situation. Her reply? "I am sorry. Try the ice maker on 8." There were numerous hand sanitizer stations around the common areas. Unfortunately I could only find one that worked. I mentioned it to one of the desk clerks and she said she would have someone take care of them. The next day they were still empty. I always try to end on a good note. In this case it was the breakfast crew. The made to order omelets were fantastic and the rest of the buffet was stocked with fresh foods. The staff was friendly and quick to clean tables for others to eat.

5 ⭐️ - Customer service! Front desk , guest ambassador and maintenance… every interaction with staff was pleasant. They tried their utmost to be pleasing, kind And polite. 3⭐️- rooms. It’s an old hotel with some surface remodeling. (I.e. mirrors in bathroom are modern, times and bathtub are old) For us the room was the main issue, our room was 82 degrees 🥵 in August… That’s real hot. It would not come down, even after the maintenance came up. Hotel ultimately sent up fans as they said the 2 other rooms they could switch us to we’re having problems cooling as well. In the morning I learned from front desk Manny of their rooms were having this issue. 🥵 it was a pretty miserable night. Beds were comfortable, if the a/c had worked, I bet it would have been a good night sleep. Kitchen sink (we were in a suite) had an annoying drip for those on the sofa bed. Overall the rooms were not a good experience. Pool- isn’t as sparkling as the photos, but they do try to keep it up. Hot tub- very nice Parking - is tight, crowded but were able to find a spot . I did not feel safe in the dark walking down alone. There was no security, no visible cameras. Location- excellent! Close to the airport and Bucs stadium. Many restaurant choices close by. View from the rooms- lovely! Can’t beat a sunset view over the bay.

Before leaving this review I reached out to Hilton and no one contacted me regarding our experience. Very disappointing.

When we first checked into the hotel it was a late check and we were thankful for the smooth process. Upon entering the room, room 1214, we were greeted with a chill. We attempted to adjust the temperature as it was blowing cold air we tried to find the heat, or turn the unit off. Unfortunately, we could not find a way to stop the unit from blowing cold air and our first night in the room was extremely cold. Since it was late, we didn’t want to be a bother so the information was shared with the desk staff in the morning. Upon sharing the information we were told the engineer needed to come look at the room. We went on with our day with the understanding someone would service the room while we were away. When we arrived back to the hotel a little before 5pm we stopped at the desk to inquire if the room had been serviced and were told “Unless we go find out, there’s no way of knowing”. To that response I replied “Well, do you have a repair log” the desk assistant checked the log and returned to say “There isn’t a request in the system”. We requested that someone service the room as it blew cold air all night and that request was shared with the front desk around noon of the same day. The desk assistant then must have put in the request and thankfully when we returned from an evening of sightseeing the room appeared to have been serviced, but the was no AC or heat available from the unit as there was no power from the unit.

Another concern I have regarding our stay is the shuttle service that is provided. In the same conversation when I stopped down at the front desk to inquire about the room temperature, I asked about the shuttle service to International Mall. We requested shuttle pick up at 1:30pm and when we arrived to the lobby we were told by the desk assistant that the shuttle doesn’t go to that mall. She said it was about a mile away and the shuttled doesn’t do that mall. We then said "we will just figure something else out” and said we could just walk it as its is a little over a mile. She told us we couldn’t walk it so we were left to make alternate plans and spent money on an Uber only to find out the shuttle does run to the mall. It was on our last night the bus driver confirmed there is service to International Mall.

This review is to suggest better training and awareness of the of the amenities as well as better customer service from the staff. I should not have had to “go see” if the room had been serviced just to have to make a trip back down to tell the staff members it wasn’t. We were there for 3 days and 2/3 days left a less to be desired experience for our visit.

Lastly room 1214 needs some TLC the corners of the room by the sliding glass are not what I expect to see from a Hilton property. Also, when turning off the water for repairs, please notify staff. My husband was preparing to get a shower had soap on his hands and there was no water. Called the front desk and was told “the water is shut off for a repair”. Again, notice would have been appreciated.

A cold room in Tampa was enough for this traveler. The hotel was selected based on the shuttle service and the Embassy Suites name. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up...

We've always enjoyed staying at Hilton properties and Embassy Suites. We were a party of 4 arriving in Tampa for a cruise. We flew into Tampa 3 days before the cruise to sightsee and relax before our cruise. We also stayed one night at the end of our cruise so we didn't have to battle all the departing cruisers at the airport. We had the 2 bed/2bath room to accommodate our party of 4 and while the room was quite large and apparently recently renovated it felt very bare bones: there's a small "kitchenette" with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker but no glassware or even a few plates etc. Not sure why there are so many cupboards in this little room as they were completely empty. Room was pretty clean and beds were comfy. Hotel could certainly replace outside windows as the main large window looking out to the main road obviously had the seal broken as it was full of condensation and blocked the views. I'm wondering too if the windows were replaced, the room would be quieter from street noise. We were on the top floor (16th) and the king size bedroom was quite noisy as you could easily hear revving cars, motorcycles and general traffic.||Breakfast was pretty good with made to order omelettes, breakfast meats, cereals, breads etc. On the downside on our second stay after the cruise the toaster was broken and they were out of milk which had people especially kids wondering what to do with the cereal they had just poured.|The evening social hour was a bit disappointing as at other properties there is a bit more of a spread than just veggies, dip, cheese and crackers. One guest had mentioned that the downtown property had hot foods (mini appies), chips, dips and more. |I do have to add that we did have a meal at the Eterie and the smash burger was really good. ||When we had checked in after getting off the cruise we enquired if we had to book the shuttle for the airport the following morning. The front desk clerk advised just to come down to the lobby 5 min before the shuttle would leave. We had an early morning flight and intended and relied on the shuttle for the 6am trip. When we got down to the lobby the following morning about 5:50am and we were checking out and the clerk advised the shuttle was not running due to tire issues! So now we have to hope we can get a taxi or Uber quickly and wondered why some sort of notice wasn't given to guests? She had no answer and I advised that this was quite disappointing and Inconvenient. She advised that the Manager would be contacting us. I am still awaiting some type of correspondence addressing this issue. All in all our stay was OK but in future I may consider a different Embassy Suites or...

I’ve been here several times and this has been the worst stay yet. CeCe and Azalea (I’m not sure how to spell their names) have been extremely rude. We requested a different room as the vanity area does not have any outlets or lights, and the reason why we enjoy staying here is so my friend and I can get ready at the same time. Every other room we’ve stayed at had vanities with lights, no problem. Unfortunately when I asked politely, Azalea responded in an aggravated tone and said they were booked tonight but can move us tomorrow. I asked if they can put that note in our reservation so the team tomorrow can see that communication. She said yes, and proceeded to grab her things. I began walking away but thought it was weird she was leaving without putting the note in like she said she would. So I asked if she remembered my room number. She said no, but she remembers my last name. I’m sorry, but no one remembers my last name LOL. Well, she grabbed her things and left! She was done with her shift. I looked at CeCe and she said asked for my room number. I told her. She writes it down. I said thank you and began walking away. Well, after what Azalea just did, I turned back around and asked if she can put the notes in my reservation before I go back upstairs. She said she had to wait for the computers to restart.

Anyways, we go back upstairs. The water isn’t getting warm for a shower. So we go back downstairs and I said, “Hi CeCe. I’m sorry but our hot water isn’t working.” She just asked how long we had the water on and said she can’t do anything about it as they are booked for the night. It was really the tone, not apologizing or showing and compassion or care. She literally had a flat affect, had her headphones in, her phone on, and she just did not care. I asked if I did anything wrong because I just feel like I was being treated as if I did something wrong. The customer service and attitude was terrible! She said no. And she said Azalea had every right to leave bc she had a long night. I said that’s no excuse.

Anyways, I’m so disappointed. I wanted to book my stay again next month and each month after that but after this experience, I’ll be looking elsewhere. I come down to TPA once a month...
