Review:
I can’t say enough good things about Tampa Burger Company—it’s hands‑down one of the most fun, hip, and downright cool places I’ve been to in Tampa! From the second you walk up, the atmosphere radiates refreshingly modern energy. It’s casual yet thoughtfully designed, with vibrant decor and friendly buzz—perfect for date nights, casual hangs, or just living your best burger life.
The menu is a true standout. The French Onion Burger, a fan favorite, is a perfect blend of savory, cheesy, and utterly craveable . They also serve award‑winning, chef‑inspired burgers made with an exceptional beef blend of chuck, short rib, and brisket—no wonder they’ve been voted Best Burger in the Bay . And don’t skip the sides: the sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce are a brilliant, playful twist—creamy, sweet, and just the right amount of indulgent .
What truly elevates the experience is the staff. Reviews overflow with praise for their warmth and attentiveness—customers rave about the inviting service that makes every visit feel special . Whether it’s the helpful recommendations or the smiles that come with your order, the people here bring the atmosphere to life.
One Yelp reviewer even pointed out how the special sauce is delightfully reminiscent of In‑N‑Out—simple, nostalgic, yet totally satisfying . And if you’re looking for a spot that stays cool and inviting even during a storm? Tampa Burger Company delivers the goods—some loyal patrons attest they stayed open, served great food, and kept the vibe alive, rain or shine .

Read moreMy youngest son and I were in Tampa for a concert and were looking for a good place to have lunch. We searched online and came up with Tampa Burger Company. Boy, am I glad we did! I can’t say enough good things about this place. The vibe of the place alone is fantastic. The staff is personable and attentive. After we got our food, the manager came over and asked us how everything was. Try getting that kind of personal attention at some other burger place. Ain’t gonna happen. Anyway, let’s review the food that we ordered. When I saw one of the menu items was a French onion burger, I didn’t have to look any further. I ordered the meal and specified that I wanted onion rings rather than the sweet potato fries. My son got the Swiss cheese and mushroom burger, and we shared my onion rings. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible both of these burgers were! They were juicy and cooked to perfection. Mine was loaded with sautéed onions and cheese that oozed out the sides with every bite . The onion rings were impeccable and served with a delicious sweet chili sauce. In addition to the toppings, they coat both sides of the bun with a garlic mayo that is to die for. I wish there was a Tampa Burger Company where I live in Melbourne Beach, Florida. It is hands-down the best burger place I have ever been in my 77 years on this earth and highly recommended it to any burger aficionado that wants to sample the best burger...
Read moreI got a the french onion burger, side of tots, and fountain drink combo which, with tax and the 18% tip button, came out to $19.57. That's far more than I usually like to pay for "burger and fries" type order-at-the-counter type, but I wanted a special treat. Price is high- but some other places are about the same.
Quality was good. Burger was good. Not great but good. A bit smaller than I'd like. I enjoyed it but didn't love it.
Was excited for the sweet potato tots but didn't like them at all. I'll attribute that to personal taste and order something different next time.
Enviroment is....fine. No different than any other sort of casual counter service fast food place. Nothing to write home about. Like the burger, it was fine. Good, but not great. Didn't add or detract from the experience.
Staff was polite and food came out quickly. No complaints there.
Overall giving it 3/5. Overall, every element was good/okay. But, for that $20 price, I'd hope for something a little more. Good place. Don't think I'll likely be returning or make it a staple. Not a bad place, but not worth it for me personally.
Additional notes:
Parking lot is small and difficult- not their fault but worth a heads up.
Place used to be Shula burger- or is in the same location as Shula burger- if you...
