The Dirty Shame — Restaurant in Tampa

I used to love coming to the dirty shame but hadn’t been back in a while since the remodel and decided to try it out last night. We walked in and sat down waiting for the bar to die down and played some music on the touch tunes. When I went to use the restroom a man was standing in front of the entrance and told me it would cost $5 to use. I just asked if he was being for real and went back to our table to round my friends up and leave. Not even three minutes later the same dude came to our table and told us to show him ID which is fine but he was mad aggressive with it and we had been there for thirty minutes at this point. I get if you missed a few people walk in and have to ID us at the bar or whatever but that was unnecessary and you should probably figure out your door security before coming at a table full of customers (who were about to spend money on several rounds of drinks) with the absolute most attitude. I’m still so confused about the $5 bathroom and have never experienced that in Ybor so just watch out! This place does not have the same warm/ low key vibes I remember and I have never left an...

The owner was incredibly rude.

I had parked in the pay-lot behind the bar, and was trying to find my way to the front/street when I entered a patio area and found a gate leading to the front. As I approached the gate, I noticed it was chained shut. Then I hear someone yell from behind me "DON'T YOU JUMP THAT GATE!" I turn around to find the owner. I try to explain to him I'm just trying to find my way to the street and I had no intention of jumping his gate (which is about 3 feet high and solid looking so who cares?). I attempted to be friendly, and after thanking him and walking away, he says "And don't park behind here either." I guess he meant immediately behind his place, which I don't know why he assumed I had parked there because there as entire pay-lot behind the strip of bars, where I parked. I didn't bother arguing with him any more and just walked away. He was very abrasive the whole time; maybe he was a little drunk. Never been to a bar with such a rude bartender, I’m usually very generous with people considering we all have bad days, but she was obviously being rude to me and my party on purpose and treating us very disrespectfully. She seemed put out that she has to get our drinks which we’re very simple as we only ordered cans. I didn’t catch her name as she did not offer it or did I feel comfortable enough to ask her, she had dark red hair and eyelash extensions. Loved the bar decorated beautifully and has potential but service was horrible. So go to this bar if you want to get treated like you...
