I. Love. This. Area. The trolley is free a d th s for at least 2.5 miles of track. The drivers are friendly. The statuons are numerous and it runs every 15 minutes. I just wish it ran later. It takes you to all the party areas. Its clean and it really feels lile something out of the Georgian period. Parking is everywhere. If you are thete at night, oatk somewhere well lit. I've known hubcaps to go missing. Private lots can get expensive, but the city lots and city parking garage are quite reasonable. The parking lots on 8th st are close to the trolley line. Its a well it and safe trek to most of the clubs and restaurants us. There are numerous restraints with quality and flavor. Its a worlds fair of food. You have Greek, New Orleans, Italian, Cuban, Asian fusion, pizza, burgers and even some fast food. I'm sure I'm missing something. Not only are there many types og food, but there are many options for each type. Some of the place or are open super late as well. There are night clubs EVERYWHRE. Prana is loud, but has a variety of dance floors. Castle is fun and welcoming of an altetnative crowd. Gaspars is great for pirate fans. There are others. There is a fun speak easy behind a bookcase in Stone Soup. Valled the SpookEasy. Their schtick, besides being behind a bookcase, is that they are haunted. Ive esperienced a few things there. Holidays there are great! Its a bit crowded but thete is something festive everywhere. At Xmas they have a large anf imposing tree. For mardi grad they have a new orleans style funeral for a chicken. At Halloween they have a huge to do. It goes on. Speaking of chickens, they are LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. There is even a society formed to protect the chickens. They are cute, too. You'll see five chicken or varying stages of development following around the rooster or hen that has adopted them. Its a very progressive chicken society.(not to be confused with the society for their protection and preservation.) They have pretty markings too. Watch out for them when driving. They tend to think they own the street and will walk right down the middle off it messing their adoptive brood. Pedestrians treat the roads much like the chickens do. There are historical markers EVERYWHERE. Great day trip for any history buff. There are juat as many pokestops. Ride the trolley to hit a bunch of stops and her about 4 miles of eggs in. It sometimes goes slow enough. Even if you dont ride the trolley for that, it's a fun ride. You can walk and walk and never hit every pokestop. If you manage to, you can juat start again and do it for as long as you like. There's something going on day or night. It's a great place for ghost hunters. Even TAPS investigated there... TWICE! It's gorgeous there. Watch out for Instagramers. They are out in force. If you are a tourist or instgrammer, you're in luck, because there are great photo ops at every turn and more. I'm constantly rubbing into friends and people, I know it really it's just a small town inside the larger Tampa municipal area. Its a right community and everyone is do friendly, as long as you arent a jerk or anything. Even then, they have shown great patience. There is a 7/11 there that gives new meaning to "convienience store." Pay the protesors no mind. They're harmless, annoying, but harmless. There is a pizza place that status open til 3am on club nights. Honestly, lifesaver. Delicious, too. There are festivals at the weekend market ALL the time. Its worth a go. Great fun and a nice excuse to get some sun, but it's shaded b too, so that's not so bad. There's work places there with widows everywhere that I still didn't get. The game tomwas recently overhauled and now its a lot of fun. Gay pride everywhere! I love it! Recently found a tiny Italian hole in the wall with great gelato. I'm always discovering something...

Ybor City is a place where you can definitely have an adventure whether in a group or alone. There is so much to see and do. They have a movie theater, restaurants, hookah bars, tattoo shops, drinking bars, karaoke bars, clubs, and shops. Ybor City is also LBGTQ friendly and they have clubs and drag shows for those who are interested.

It is also a historic district in Tampa, Florida. I have taken some really nice photographs here with my canon. They have art murals spread out. There's is always something to see especially if you want to enjoy a nice stroll and people watch. Parking isn't free.

Ybor City doesn't even require you to have alot of money...

Ybor City is filled with historical and cultural roots, and the area is known as the Cigar Capital of the World! While exploring the area you can grab a bite to eat at the oldest restaurant in Florida which is the Columbia Restaurant or opt in for some Cuban-inspired dishes elsewhere. Climb aboard the TECO Line Streetcar and enjoy a free ride to explore everything Historic Ybor City District has to offer. Don't be surprised when you see chickens and roosters roaming the streets - they are part of the founding and early days...

I love culture and history, so Ybor City was at the top of my to see list. There is a free tram that transports you to and from the city from various points across Tampa Bay, the riverfront area. We happened to be there during the Pride Parade, so that made it quite interesting. People were nice, with many food options and loads of culture. And, yes, there are plenty of chickens and roosters roaming around. Leave them be, and they will also leave you alone.
