I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Al Lopez Baseball Museum in Tampa, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience that exceeded all expectations. Not only was the museum itself a treasure trove of baseball history, but the exceptional service provided by Mark, our guide, truly made the visit unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, Mark greeted us with a warm and friendly smile. His passion for baseball was evident from the start, and he had an impressive wealth of knowledge about the game and its history. As he guided us through the museum, he shared fascinating anecdotes and stories that brought the exhibits to life.

Mark's enthusiasm for baseball was infectious, and he made the entire experience engaging and enjoyable. He took the time to answer all of our questions and provided in-depth explanations of the memorabilia and artifacts on display. It was clear that he genuinely cared about ensuring that we had a memorable visit.

One of the highlights of our time at the Al Lopez Baseball Museum was the personalized attention we received from Mark. He took the time to learn about our individual interests and tailored the tour to suit our preferences. Whether it was sharing stories about legendary players, showcasing rare baseball cards, or discussing the evolution of the game, Mark's passion and expertise shone through in every interaction.

Beyond his knowledge and enthusiasm, Mark's professionalism and friendliness were truly commendable. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued as visitors. His genuine interest in our experience was evident, and he made us feel like honored guests throughout our time at the museum.

Overall, our visit to the Al Lopez Baseball Museum was an exceptional experience, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Mark. His extensive knowledge, enthusiasm, and personalized attention truly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the game's history. I highly recommend visiting this museum and requesting Mark as your guide - his expertise and passion will undoubtedly make your visit a...

This little museum is in the original home of Al Lopez in Ybor City. I stumbled upon it while riding my bike in the neighborhood and stopped by for a quick peek. Even though my passion for baseball has waned over the years, the exhibits and more importantly my interaction with Josh Weaver, the “Museum Experience Coordinator” brought memories from my early school days in the seventies flooding back. The museum is well organized, interesting and a little quirky. You can enjoy it in fifteen minutes or dive in for multiple hours. If you drop by on a quiet day you might get to enjoy talking baseball history with Josh. Think “talking trivia with a Jeopardy super champion.” Add in the Ybor City free range chickens roaming around outside and you’ve got a full blown adventure on your hands. This is a must see for baseball lovers, regardless of their team affinity. Two thumbs...

This museum may be tiny, but Josh Weaver was a fount of knowledge about baseball in general, but especially Florida baseball. He walked us around and shared the high points of their exhibits with little tidbits of knowledge and stories related to the item or the player. It’s quite a thing to see Pete Alonso’s (huge) cleats, the collection of signed balls from players born or raised from the area, and learn more about El Señor, Al López, but the value is found in Josh’s love of the game and his pride in the players that the area has produced.

If you’re in Ybor, take 30-60 minutes and let Josh regale you with his stories. More than worth the small fee to visit.

As for the museum itself (formerly the home of Al Lopez), it’s clean and bright, well-lit, and the displays are wonderful. A cute little gem worth a...
