The Local Draught House — Restaurant in Tampa

Me and my boyfriend a black couple walked into the bar at about 12:15pm to have some drinks and chill. Our bartender asked what we would like? I said a beach beer. My boyfriend was still deciding what to drink so just ordered 2 shots. I realized I did not have cash on me to tip and live close by. So we drank our shots that were made poorly. If you know what a beach beer is it consists of liquor 43 and heavy whipping cream. Bartender used half and half the coffee creamer cups. We than cashed out after and said we would be right back. I left no tip. I never leave tips on my card as I have had fraud done to me. My boyfriend and I return to the bar in 5 min. I ask for a Margarita…. The same situation he doesn't know what to order. I say you can still make my Margarita while he is thinking. The bartender and I never got her name, she then states “well actually I think you are pretty rude and I'm not serving you both”. We simply got up and left. Racism at its finest or just a chick that doesn't want to work because the bar was dead so she was not trying to make any sales. The place was empty when I got here. Very nice atmosphere and music got better for me personally as time passed. I would suspect that it gets pretty busy due to location however I enjoyed the time I got here because crowd was not. Decent selection of bourbon and whiskey but not overwhelming. 10 taps and predominantly IPA, not my fave but decent. Plenty of tvs to see almost anything. ATM, touch tunes, darts, pool table and outside seating. Multiple hightops and bar seating. Enough room to bring in Karaoke or a band.

I live close by and drive by the local draft house everyday, today I finally stopped by. I’m so glad I did because I found my new local bar.
