I usually buy my running shoes online and "hope" that I like them, however, as I start to take running more serious, I realized it was time for a good fitting. I stopped by REI (plot twist coming...) and they spoke very highly of Fleet Feet (which I never heard of before). I thought that is pretty strange for one store to refer to another, so they must be doing something right at Fleet Feet. Just as you are doing right now, I jumped on Google to check the reviews and was impressed.
I stopped by this location (Flatwoods) to see if they hype was real. It was. I was greeted by Matt as soon as I walked in. I told him my running history, my goals, and shoe history. He listened and then said lets get you on the machine. It was pretty cool to see this level of detail about my feet. It almost caught me by surprise that my feet were so different.
After the chat and fitting, Matt brought out 3 pairs and then another one later. He even brought an older model to try to save me a few bucks on the one pair. In the end, I loved the first pair that Matt brought out. Matt literally spent almost an hour with me to make sure we got it right.
The entire process was really, really great and Matt was just one of those guys that you could chat with about running and loose track of time.
Like all the other reviews, Matt and Fleet Feet earned a lifetime customer today. In todays world, it feels like customer service is gone, so it was wonderful to see it still exists today. Thank you Matt & Fleet Feet! Looking forward to some miles on...
Read moreI called the store before i arrived to make sure they had my size (13) btw im 6ft 200 pounds and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I mean from greeting to holding the door open to talking about running shoes etc. I usually try to run every week 3 to 4 times but my knees tend to swell up with fluid. So my goal goes to 2 times a week.(running pace varies (8:35-9ish) Ive been wearing nike for my runs.(nike zoom fly fk) and some diff nike ones aswell. But that morning i looked into brooks running shoes( i have neveR had a pair) but i looked at the TRANSCEND7 and i put them on in the store.... i def walked out the store with them. Amanda helped me out and i complained that some sunglasses i was wearing were to tight for my head and they have some goodr glasses (the brand) that woah!! Amazing little things def recommend them if you just like to wear em. Long story short i went to al lopez park, i ran 4-5 laps and i dont feel pain in my knees and they are NOTTTT swollen. The store and shoes get 5stars. Im not saying dont were nikee. Id wear them again for an actual race or maybe a mile or two. But when im training i run 3-5 miles non stop. For anyone reading with my build or even experiencing the same a little background i was an offensive lineman in HS weighing in max of 265 Get a pair of transcend7 there not narrow, i have a mid arch. I dont have wide feet per say but i cant wear narrow ones🤷♂️ 🤣🤣 lol Light but still have plenty of...
Read moreI stopped in to investigate shoes to wear on my walks, I typically walk twice a day, 4-5 miles on each walk, at a brisk pace.
The sales person listened to how I would use the shoes, had me measured by their foot scanning technology and brought out some shoes to try.
I tried 2 different shoes with high arch Superfeet insoles, walked around the store numerous times, settled on Mizuno Wave Rider 28 shoes over New Balance. Then tried HOKA, which a friend had suggested. The Mizuno was the best fit foe me.
I've walked in these shoes several times now, definitely the right choice and the high arch insole works well for me.
The store personnel have much knowledge about feet, shoes and body physiology associated with walking. I give high marks, kudos to Wendy who made it happen for me.
Great experience, took the time to listen, measure and then selected a winning shoe.
Thanks & my daughter will be...
