I'll start with the important part: I got my allergens cross contaminated in my food and my friend got shorted.
I have an allergy to beef and pork. I did not think this was relevant because I ordered chicken and Florida health codes require changed gloves or washed hands between meats especially. It apparently was, because shortly after I had an allergic reaction. This is always an infuriating experience. When I recover I might look into asking the health department to investigate, however I also don't really care about the future of this Wendy's or if it improves, as I will certainly be avoiding it. I also will certainly not be in the mood for Wendy's in general after this. I am so lucky I was not the one flying.
Not only that, but my friend got shorted on her burger. She ordered a baconator. It was kind of funny, because she and another friend were talking about how the baconator had two beef patties and it was the son of baconator that had one beef patty before we got our food. We sit down, we check the burger, it has only one patty. We figure it must have been an honest mistake, so she takes it back. She comes back incredibly sad because apparently when she explained the situation, the staff seemed bothered by her... not having the right order. She said that when the burger was taken back the person in the back looked at her, did something, and gave her a burger with the same problem. Since she never took a bite of the burger, we highly suspect it was just the same burger given back to her. This is embarrassing behavior.
The only positives I can say is that the food got out quickly and it tasted good, but from a gaggle of food service workers to some others, your one job is to get orders out correctly and safely. I hope this is not your normal, truly.
This sure was one hell of a way to see...
Read moreAs an airport employee, as many others, our stop the majority of the times is Wendy’s and customer service is a must for many of us here at the Airport treating people with respect, including customers or passengers as many say, this morning I placed an order around 9:25am, and at the register as I’m waiting in line I’m noticing this young Spanish girl with an attitude talking. Smack to other people that work at the airport mind you I understand some people know each other but that is so unprofessional people in line we’re looking at each other, mumbling under their breath, about what type of service are they gonna receive as I’m behind them listening to this girl, and her Manager or Supervisor standing next to her, this young employee is Very comfortable speaking to people the way she was with no fear that her Manager or Supervisor whoever that was standing next to her, which means this is a normal thing for her to do and no one has said anything or done anything about it I don’t like to stir problems, but as a Person that prefers to go to Wendy’s more than any other place here in the airport, I don’t appreciate the attitude and the sarcasm that she gave me when placing my order, Me as a supervisor, always enforced courtesy in customer service to everyone we deal with and I appreciate the same back as a person I no, she’s a Morning employee of yours because I’ve never had this issue with the mid shift employees of yours whom I deal with a lot and i never had to complain till now because I’m talking for myself and for those customers standing in line and for Other Airport...
Read moreTerry who took my order was very rude. Visited on 10/18 before my morning flight. I was standing in line and he didn’t greet me or anything. I was the only one on line so I had to approach him and tell him I was ready to order since he was just standing there doing nothing. I greeted him with a “Good morning” and got no response. I was there with my husband and while I was repeating my order to him I caught him staring at my husband with a dirty look and my husband noticed as well because once we got our food he asked me if I realized how Terry was staring at him. Anyway, once I finished ordering, I politely said, “Thank you so much.” And he didn’t acknowledge me at all. On top of that, I ordered a breakfast baconator and received a sausage, egg and cheese instead. While I waited for my food, I noticed how he greeted the 2 older white women behind me. He was very warm and welcoming to them and even wished them a good day. So why didn’t we get the same treatment? We are very respectful people and we did not deserve to be made to feel less than, especially not on...
