A tourist town, that doesn't like tourists... Apparently, Blake's offers a fish sandwich advertised with "Green Chile Tartar Sauce. Sounds good right? So I buy one. My order is taken by Joe. I get home and the fish sandwich has no sauce on it at all. Dry bun, dry fish sticks and lettuce. I go back to the restaurant and get this, I'm told that the fish sandwich that is advertised with green Chile tartar sauce actually doesn't come with the sauce on the sandwich, but is a side that they charge extra for. Joe is told this by an un-named female behind the counter, who won't look me in the face (probably some kind of wiccan). So since they felt that I was dumb enough to believe that a major burger chain would go to this sort of length to upset customers, over a 2 cent squirt of tartar sauce, they go for the trifecta. Since I paid with a card, they "Claim" not to be able to credit me the charge. I'm floored, because this is generally the type of behavior that ends up on a YouTube video, so I had to laugh a bit. Now I don't actually believe either assertion. Not about the sauce or the credit. This is nothing more than common, garden variety ignorance. Brown on black violence at it's best. I can guarantee you that white folks don't get hassled about tartar sauce when they pay $60.00 for fast food. Is the principal worth going further, probably. But how miserable do you have to be to act like this? I don't want that kind of person cooking me anything..... Keep the $5.00 and invest it in some customer service, training on issuing credits and not hiring bitter women and men who think they are getting away with lying. The tartar sauce isn't extra and you can issue credits just fine. You just didn't feel the need to rectify the matter in my case. You didn't want to seem beneath me to have to make my sandwich correctly and went further and kept my money. I get it. It wound't have happened to white folks or folks that look and speak like them. I'm getting the feeling that not too many people of my hue get up to these parts and the ones that do can be told things that aren't even common sense. No major burger chain is going to do something as dumb as advertise a sandwich and then try to upsell the sauce, that's supposed to come on the sandwich. They just made that up. I...
Read moreThere were few places to get a quick meal in Taos, NM... on Labor Day Sunday...So we were excited to see a Lotaburger... well... there was quite a crowd of people inside waiting... you could hear a mess of burgers sizzling on the grill... It took a few minutes to get my order in, after being told what they were out of... Of course, since masks were required, I could barely understand the guy taking my order. The one menu board was turned off, so I had no idea as to what they had on the menu... asked if they had a chicken sandwich (for the wife) and ordered a Lotaburger single for myself and 2 shakes, and then told it would be 10-25 minutes to get our food. I was number 57 and they called 52 as I left the counter and went outside to wait. Ten minutes later I reentered the store and sat down at the stool at the counter by the front window. 5 minutes later they called 58, followed a few minutes later by 59. I went to the counter and asked, what about 57? They looked around and found my bag of food. I then asked about my shakes and had to show them the receipt. The food was good and we were glad to finally have...
Read moreCalled 1 hour ahead of time to order my breakfast fir my family. Showed up and they said they did not get my order. The girl at the front laughed and said we were "out of luck, nothing she can do if they don't send her the orders for the phone system". They would not even make it right by offering to make us something they just continued to laugh it off a mock me for getting upset. We drove 50 minutes for our breakfast. Typical BS Northern New Mexico run around to get out of working because they flipped the grill early for lunch. Horrible people, incompetent managers. This is the 4th time we have had trouble when calling in an order. They do not value their customers in anyway.STAY AWAY toribios is 1 block away up the street the heard our story and gave us free breakfast just for our experience. They didn't didn't cause the...
