Pelican Point Seafood — Restaurant in Tarpon Springs

I have a personal quest to do a better job of supporting local business, and I stopped into Pelican Point Seafood for the first time last week.

First impressions....WOW.

The place smelled so clean, was spotless, and the huge variety of fresh and frozen seafood was obviously top-tier quality.

I picked up some HUGE stonecrab claws during my visit and also purchased a gift certificate that I may give as a Christmas gift (or use myself 😁)

Its a great location on the Anclotte River and Pelican Point Seafood would be a natural stop for anyone strolling the unique businesses on that stretch of downtown Tarpon Springs.

I did have a question from my visit, and was so surprised that the General Manager (Amy) reached out to me so quickly to help.

THAT level of customer service, plus the great quality of seafood, plus thier focus on supporting local-fisherman ALL make this my new favorite...

A++ Awesome seafood market. Went in for the first time today for some mullet to throw on the smoker. Found what I was looking for and then some. They butterflied and cleaned the mullet for me and it looks incredibly fresh. Also picked up some Grouper, a huge Red Snapper filet, some Hogfish and two huge Spiny Lobster tails. Just noticed they carry Black Seabass and kingfish steaks. Ive never seen so much variety in one place. Every kind of shellfish you can imagine plus very hard to find fish species. Even species I've never heard of. Staff was friendly and full of laughs. Prices are fair for fresh caught seafood. I'll gladly shop here again and will be back very soon. One happy customer. I personally didn't shop or eat at this place but was around the area sightseeing and went to the back and there were a couple of young guys fishing the waters in the back that worked there. They were catching decent size Pompano and Catfish. The best part was there was a little kid watching and they let him fish and catch a couple of fish. Then the big pompano that he caught they let him bring into the fish market to go and try and sell lol it was a great sight seeing the good hearts of the young guys letting the kid fish and giving him a lasting experience for a lifetime. Keep humanity alive. Keep Calm...
