Couldn't get online ordering to go thru. It said I had to call, so I called. Someone answered and put me on hold. A second person came on the phone about 4 minutes later and put me on hold again. After 11 minutes, I hung up and called back. Someone answered and I immediately said " don't put me on hold til I say something". She explained she couldn't take my order so again put me on hold. At 6 minutes, the manager came on the phone and took my order (maybe Dustin?) I was placing the order for my employer, otherwise, I would not have bothered. When I arrived to pick up my order, it took 3 of the 5 people, who were standing around talking, to ring me up. After 10 minutes, I asked if I could have my coffee while i was waiting. "Sure," she said. Ten minutes later I get my coffee. 4 people still standing around talking about non work related subject. Then when she comes back with my coffee, she decided to check on my order. 3 of the girls said, " I didn't take it so I don't know." No one felt obligated or interested in checking on the order. Finally, they all worked together and realized all my food was sitting there except the coffee. Needless to say the food was cold. They tried to get me to pay again, and when I said I already paid, they stated there was no proof on the order, but they believed me.(??) I take the bag and said there was no banana bread, for which they replied, "there are 2 slices in the container." I said I paid for a loaf. They unpack my food to take out the slices and give me a loaf. I walk out a 3:53pm with cold food, 28 minutes longer than the 3:25pm that was promised. Back at work, 1 item was suppose to be minus cheese but had cheese, and all food was cold, so had to be rewarmed.
Tasted ok for rewarming, but a very stressful situation. Doubt I will return to the Taylor location. If I choose Bob Evans, I will go to the Woodhaven location. Such a shame, no work ethics. I do have give credit to one young lady who was waiting on tables and didn't stop working while...
Read moreI have been to this particular location for all the major mealtimes, and I have learned a few things over the years.
The two most common meals we might eat in this restaurant are breakfast and dinner, and dinner is usually carryout with a very occasional dine-in.
From all of my experiences here, there are certain things on the menu that they do better with and/or that are much more consistent than others. Things they do well are the grilled chicken burgers, pot pies and their roast beef dish. They are always tender, juicy, tasteful and just plain good and not over seasoned.
Items like their burgers, cheeseburgers and certain fried items like chicken fingers and French fries can be good, but again from my experiences, are hit and miss.
The one thing this location does very well is breakfast. Being a natural born Spaniard I still eat typical Spanish breakfast foods, and I am not a huge fan of sweets, but the cinnamon hotcakes are divine! I also like their waffles with seasonal fruit toppings. My enjoys their omelette bowls and since they do those items so well, those are what we order most frequently.
A note on the carryout aspect of this location: We have never run into a timeliness issue beyond what is reasonable when they are very busy, but be sure to check your bags and your order before you leave. The order accuracy is the issue. There have been a number of times when we got the wrong combination, something was not added/taken out as requested or even the wrong order altogether. Yes that part is on us (or any other customer) but you cannot always tell just by peeking in the bag.
Other than that, we have not had a bad experience here and the wait staff is always very friendly and attentive, and the managers always stop by to check...
Read moreI like going here for breakfast, although they may not have the quickest service, they do have delicious full bodied coffee to sip on while waiting. I like the fact that they serve home fries rather than hashbrowns. I always order, and I highly recommend the Pot Roast Hash for breakfast...I love it! It is a pile of REAL pot roast, top with home fries, cheese, and I only ever ordered it with over easy eggs which are served atop of it all, with a sprinkle of green onions. Deeeelicious! Oh, and BTW, nobody knows why but although they still make it, and you can order it, it is no longer on the menu...so now I guess it's a 'secret menu dish', but a must try! You can also choose to have two slices of their delicious homemade banana bread (They do have other kinds of bread, but their banana bread is my favorite) in place of toast or English muffen at no extra charge! I also love their family meals to go. It should feed up to a family of four, two adults and two children. My favorite...again, is the Pot Roast family meal that comes smothered in brown gravy, with one side dish, and of course they have different prices for how ever many more side dishes that you would like to add. (I've only ever gotten it as take out though). I can't eat it without mashed potatoes though, with gravy over them too. I also usually add another side...I like their carrots, (whole baby carrots). The only problem that I have had with ordering this family meal though, was them getting the order right. I have gotten home to find no carrots, or no gravy...but after calling them to complain, they did send us some coupons for free food! So to avoid all of that, because I want what I want, when I want it...I open the bag before leaving to make sure that the order...
