So it was my first time ever in a Korean BBQ style restaurant. The food was fresh service was awsome. My son wanted to go here for his birthday. It was very interesting and I'd definitely go again prices were fair for an all you can eat. Now my take on it. I was lost at first ordering with a large group you don't get individual items it comes combined ( not sure if I'm conveying it properly) but i was lost at first I just didn't know what to do with all the food at first but you get a soup base of your choice I started by adding my veggies and lete add real quick the choices were vast and alot that was offered I'd never heard of or tried and it was amazing. Then I added some grilled meat towards the end I was winging it quite well. And the meat selection was just as assorted as the veggies and roots. Now the reason for the 4 stars 1.no spices for grilling the meat 2.instructions given by the staff left me still wondering what to do. I feel like it would take many visits to get it down
Would I recommend it, absolutely. Would I go again , with out hesitation. My only advice is make sure you or someone your with is somewhat of a creative cook, that cam work with what...
Read moreHave been 3 times since opening, first time was with my wife and wasn't the best, we just did Korean BBQ for lunch. Options were not as wide during the lunch and we had to ask our server multiple times to keep changing cook plate, overall it was an okay first experience not the best. The second time was with my mom for dinner, got both Hotpot and Korean BBQ, the hotpot was fantastic and the options were great!! Korean BBQ dinner options were a lot better and had an overall better service the second tone around. Just went on today for lunch solo for just hotpot and it was my best experience yet!! Daniel was my server and he was absolutely top notch, on top of it checking on me and making sure my drink was filled and just generally making sure everything was great overall. One of the most peaceful lunches I've had in forever. Things have been getting so much better since the opening and it shows. For anyone thinking of giving Kpot a chance I totally 100 percent recommend. Just be sure to be patient and give a little grace because some kinks are still being worked out, but they are putting in the effort. I see this place being a downriver staple in the...
Read moreThey deleted my wifes review so lets try again: Our experience with the service was disappointing. Our server started off friendly, but then stopped acknowledging her entirely and only asked my me and my son if they wanted refills. My wife had to ask someone else just to get napkins and utensils.
After taking our order, she seemed to disappear—we were confused about how to cook everything and didn’t get any guidance.
We also weren’t told that choosing both the grill and hot pot would cost more than the clearly posted $31.99 per person. It was a LOT of food (no complaints there!), but a heads-up about pricing would’ve been appreciated.
When she said we could go get sauces, she didn’t mention that plates were also up there, or that there were other items to grab. We went up empty-handed and only realized after.
My wife is gluten-free and mentioned that upfront. The server said she’d help keep things separate, but when it came time to cook, she was nowhere to be found. My wife ended up just eating gluten because she didn’t know what was safe. Really hoping she doesn't get sick. Do not...
