My family of 4 went here for dinner last night for the first time. We called earlier in the day and made a 7pm reservation. We arrived about 10 min early and was sat exactly at 7pm! Others were coming in with out a reservation and were being told about a 40 min wait, so you don’t have to make reservations. This is where they lost a star…while we were sat at 7pm, we didn’t receive a drink or the salad/soup till 7:30. The waitress came over pretty quickly after we were sat to take our drink order, offer us appetizers and tell us their specials this month. Then nothing for 30 min. None of us or anyone else that were sat with us ( the table holds 8 people, so if you don’t have 8 you are sat with others) so we all sat there. Waiting. Looking and feeling awkward..lol. She finally comes out with the soup and salad and our drinks. The menu calls it a ginger salad and a clear soup. We had no idea what that meant but were excited to try something new. The salad is iceberg lettuce and what I can only describe as a sweeter ranch type dressing. It was sooo good. Even my teens ate all the salad. The soup is a broth with a couple mushrooms and green onions in it. I had started on the salad first, so by the time I ate the soup it was cold. So start with the soup. It was good but I’d rather have 2 of the salad..lol. Just as we were finishing up our cook came to the table. His name was Chef David and he was amazing, though while we were sitting there for 30 min we had a chance to watch the other tables and they all seemed to be having fun. He was very interactive, teased my teens which made everyone laugh and seemed to love his job. Going into this I thought that it would be good but that your probably paying for the experience. Well not only is the experience amazing, the food was phenomenal! My whole family had the chicken and steak combo. Which was about $28 each. The chef starts with making the rice,p and then puts it in your plate, then his does the veggies and puts them on the plate and then he does the protein. You can start munching on the foods he puts on your plate or wait till he is done. We tried waiting but it looked so good we dug in after awhile. The steak was amazing! The chicken was good took..but steak was a tad bit better. I would love to try the shrimp next time. For our family of 4 with 4 pops it was $135. I don’t think that’s horrible. We’ve spent close to that at Applebees for far worse food. I didn’t think ahead of time to bring cash and tip the chef, so please do that! I felt so bad that I didn’t. Everyone as super friendly and we can’t wait to come back. We are lucky to have this in our little...
Read moreWe love ichiban but not sure we will return to this location as I’m super disappointed in the service we received today. Want to preface the employees are so nice and the mistakes made were unintentional but could have been addressed, my real gripe is with the way management handled the situation.
Upon arrival and placing orders we let our server know we have a shellfish allergy. Our drinks which were bottled beers took awhile to arrive and appetizers came cold and we waited approximately 25-30 minutes for them. It’s Saturday so this isn’t a huge issue. But worth noting when reviewing the experience.
Our chef finally comes and he was fantastic, but it’s quickly obvious the shellfish memo was never passed on to him as all of our food is being cooked together that we’ve waited about 40 minutes for. Luckily we had our appetizers so my partner didn’t go hungry. But he was unable to eat his hibachi due to the cross contamination.
I brought this concern to management attention as to prevent this from happening to others. If we weren’t paying attention while food was being cooked this could have been consumed and a real concern could have unfolded for us all. Instead I took home two entrees and my partner with the allergy ate only the appetizers.
Where I decided I needed to write a review was when I realized management wasn’t taking the issue seriously at all. The server never acknowledged the issue, indicating she was never informed of her mistake, and potentially still taking orders from families with allergies and risking other potential mistakes, being that management decided not to take the opportunity to immediately educate. I want to restate that I feel ad though the blame should be on management and not the server, as she clearly wasn’t informed by management of the mistake. We received no sort of credit on our bill and management waited until we were on our way out to apologize which seemed very avoidant of taking responsibility and ownership of...

Even the restrooms impress, impeccably clean and adorned with striking artwork that reflects the restaurant’s attention to detail.
Hospitality begins at the door, where a friendly greeter welcomed us with a smile, setting the tone for what would be a first-class experience. The staff’s professionalism was evident, and our server, Grace, was exceptional. Learning it was our first visit, she graciously walked us through the menu, offering recommendations and describing feature items with knowledgeable enthusiasm. Her breakdown of the drink menu was particularly appreciated—and well worth it. The Island Breeze Sangria and Ichiban Volcano cocktail were both vibrant, well-balanced, and truly delightful to the palate.
We sampled the restaurant’s featured sushi roll of the month, the Snow Princess—a stunning creation that immediately claimed the top spot as my new favorite roll. It was fresh, expertly rolled, and flavorfully layered with precision.
The highlight of the evening was the tableside hibachi experience with Chef Udi. Animated, charismatic, and masterfully skilled, he prepared the Ichiban Seafood Delight with flair and finesse. The dish was rich in flavor, generously portioned, and so satisfying we opted to take the rest home.
