Went to Main Street Diner and Deli for breakfast this morning with five co-workers, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. They were out of almost everything we tried to orderâwhich was frustrating enoughâbut the real issue was the lack of communication and help from the staff, particularly the girl taking our orders.
She couldnât clearly explain what was available, wasnât able to offer substitutions (we asked if we could get bread instead of a bagelâapparently thatâs only for lunch), and overall seemed unprepared to handle the situation. Even basic things like regular sugar for coffee werenât available.
Since there were so few options left, I ordered an acaĂ bowl. Our food came out slowly and one at a time, with one order being incorrect. After 45 minutes, everyone had their foodâexcept me. Finally, the staff member came over to let me know they were actually out of açaĂ bowls. So I waited nearly an hour and ended up with nothing.
To make matters worse, she didnât know how to process a refund and had to spend another 15â20 minutes on the phone trying to figure it out.
I understand things happen and places run out of items, but the lack of preparation, communication, and customer service made for a really poor experience overall. Hope they can work on staff training and better...

I visited your location today and ordered and paid for the Carne Asada Fries to go. After completing the transaction, I was informed that this item is dine-in only and could not be packaged to go.
I explained that I had dogs in the car and was therefore unable to dine in. I then requested a refund, but was told that one could not be provided. I want to express that this situation is not acceptable.
If an item is not eligible for takeout, that should be made clear before payment is accepted. To accept payment, refuse to provide the item as ordered, and then deny a refund is inappropriate and could be considered unlawful withholding of payment without service.
I would appreciate a prompt resolution, ideally a refund or credit, and a review of this policy to ensure it is communicated transparently to future customers.
Also the post you made on fb of the Care Asada Fries is in a to...
Read moreI went for lunch and wanted a 50/50 Ruben sandwich on sourdough, the waitress checked and said no problem. When I received my order it was on Rye bread. I told waitress there was an error. Then a second waitress came and said our original waitress was new and gave me bad info. I ordered a turkey sandwich and was told it was on rye bread and it couldnât be changed. I told her to take original sandwich back that I didnât want it. She said if she takes it back she will get hollared at. I told her I wasnât paying for it,. So I left with only eating a side of coleslaw and a drink, no one cared that I didnât get lunch. Then all of the customers dining inside the restaurant heard a loud manâs voice holler out of the kitchen. We paid our bill, and I asked my waitress if he was hollering at her and she said no. Needless to say I will never go there again and I will tell everyone to...
