Okay, we saw the good and bad reviews and thought we should give this place a chance because it might be a matter of taste, right? PEOPLE, HEAR ME---BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. The food was mostly edible, but so mediocre. I could literally make better food at home, and my husband said the same. (I am not a good cook.) The egg drop soup was horrid. I couldn't even eat it. The 'chow mein' was made with spaghetti noodles. Pathetic. We tried feeding the noodles to our son who loves pasta, and he said, "Sketty so bad!" The fried rice was a joke. It had 2--count 'em--2 pieces of ham in it. We added ham to it at home. The 'beef and broccoli' was mostly broccoli. Not bad tasting, but hardly any meat and the broccoli was overcooked. I love egg rolls but I could only choke one down. I was looking at the other egg roll feeling shame in only choking ONE down when I know I am capable of so much more. I wanted to want that egg roll on the plate, but I couldn't make myself eat a second one. It tasted like the inside of someone's dirty fridge. I feel bad for writing a bad review about someone's business, but really when you're running a restaurant your food should not remind one of the show "Kitchen Nightmares" with Gordon Ramsey. That being said, I did eat the food. I didn't throw up and I don't think I got food poisoning, but we will not go back. By the way, I think the good reviews are written by the owners themselves because no one in their right mind would say that food is 'excellent'. The sweet and sour pork was okay at best, and it was the best thing we had. We've never thrown away Chinese leftovers in our lives, but tonight we did.If the owner is reading this, here is what you need to do differently:More meat. NO speghetti/angel hair pasta trying to pass it off as asian. More color in the fried rice. Throw in some onion or something. The egg drop soup needs to taste good and not like the only flavoring is corn starch/gelatin.The egg rolls could use more meat/flavor. Don't make things ahead of time and keep them in the fridge/freezer. In general, try tasting your food as you're cooking so you're not sending out bland mediocrity. Sorry I haven't tried the whole menu so I can't say...
Read moreFirst time visiting and we thought the prices seemed decent. We ordered the Family Dinner A for 4 at $44.99 and some pork wontons (12) for $7.99, which is a bit pricey for wontons that hardly had any meat in them. The egg drop soup was microwaved, as hubby's was just warm, while mine was really hot in the center, even after stirring it. We had asked to substitute veggie fried instead of having the ham, and the young girl turned to an older lady (her mom?) who nodded yes. We knew there could be a charge for the change, but when we got the bill, the Family Dinner was now $59.99, and the wontons still $7.99. When we asked why the dinner was $15 more than what it shows in the menu, the young waitress said that's what the older lady told her to charge because of the substitution. Crazy! A regular order of veggie fried rice is only $10.99 in the menu which is the same price as the ham, so why is she saying that substituting is even more than a regular order?! We could have kept the ham rice and still ordered a full order of the veggie separately and still been cheaper. A substitution should only be a couple of dollars, tops! Then the rice itself, the veggies looked old and like the rice had been sitting for some time. Some food was coming out too fast (under 5 minutes from ordering), which makes me think much of it is premade and microwaved. The stuff that took longer to come out was tasty, but because of the ridiculous upcharge and dishes that seemed microwaved, we won't return here. Service from the young girl was good, but the older lady came by and asked how things were during our meal, but then just stood there staring at us for an awkward minute while we ate. Atmosphere was just ok. Basic tables, no music, and there were no other patrons in the place while we were there, until we were paying and leaving, which seemed odd for a place that showed decent reviews. I guess some people like mediocre food and...
Read moreI wasnt impressed by this place in the slightest. My husband and I stopped in after an early start to apartment hunting for the day, we came in to a half lighted restuarant and it took awhile for us to be seated even though we were the only ones there. We decided to just get one meal to share because most places we go 2 meals is way too much food. Our food for brought out to us after 20+mins. The sweet and sour chicken looked and tasted as if they used pancake batter and just breaded chicken strips and fried them not to mention we broke one open and it looked like they had just reheated day old chicken, the sweet and sour sauce was like a blood red, and there was very little rice that looked like day old rice they reheated it in a pan. It is was over priced for the portions and quality of the food and service. My husband used the restroom and said it was dingy and very creepy. The lights flickered and he couldn't wait to get out of there. We went to pay and stood at the counter for 20 mins before they came up to help us. The customer service was poor and the waiter hardly spoke English which you could barely understand. I wouldnt recommend to anyone and I wouldnt be surprised if they were breaking health code. I honestly didnt eat the food because just looking at it I was concerned...
