Came here today with my kids. Was looking forward to authentic Mexican dish. I ordered the quesadilla with beans and rice for my kids and the green chili enchiladas for myself. Sadly, the beans were runny without flavor. The rice was dry and stale. The enchiladas were no good. The salsa tasted like the green salsa thats sold at Walmart in the herdez bottles. The food was cold and the tortillas were way too thick and the meat was low quality. The presentation was nonexistent. Redoing the math I do believe I was overcharged by $10-$12. I asked for a receipt but the receipt was not itemized and doing the math all this should’ve cost me no more than $40 including tax. I was charged $52 for the above plus 2 sprites and horchata. The math ain’t mathin. Bathroom was very dirty and no toilet paper. Horchata was good but after seeing the bathroom and my overall experience I decided to leave it with the rest of the food. Wish I could say otherwise, but I definitely won’t be dining...
Read moreWe were recommended this place by a family member otherwise we wouldn’t have tried this place. We were on the search to get authentic Mexican food, but the food quality and taste left something to be desired. We had gotten the burrito, pambazo, huarache, and several quesadillas. Burritos were decent, especially for the price we will give them that. The huarache was also pretty decent in size for what they are. Where we had issues was definitely the taste of all the other items. The meat was definitely pretty dry, tasteless and a bit too salty. The quesadillas got most of the flavor from the oil, they just tasted pretty bland unfortunately. Pambazos felt like they hardly added any chorizo and potatoes so it felt pretty mid. We wanted to like this place because of the recommendation, but we honestly can’t. We are giving it 2 stars only because it really felt like the food could’ve tasted better, but it was somewhat filling...
Read moreI've been eating this place for several years now. Traveling from Cedar Hills to Taylorsville because they have good service and the food is excellent!! I'm from Mexico City and everything they have on their menu for me was magnificent. But today for the first time in all the time I've been attending this restaurant I didn't like the food. I don't know if I changed owners, but the boy who always very kindly took orders and attended, today Saturday, January 11, 2025. It wasn't be there. The horchata didn't taste the same and didn't have the touch of cinnamon powder that they always put on it, the pozole I ordered was cold and didn't have that delicious flavor characteristic of Los Machetes. It's the first time I'm disappointed with the taste of the food I ordered. So I'm going there looking for the authentic flavor that didn't characterize Los Machetes today. Now I would think about it to go...
