Very disappointed with the poor quality of food, lack of professionalism, and filthiness of the restaurant. The restaurant was filthy, cups and plates everywhere, nothing was wiped down or organized, tablecloths ALL had stains, my husband and I could see them on every table so they clearly do not wash them. Had crumbs, old food, dirt, and even legos under the table we were told to sit at. Gnats and flies were flying around and it was very disturbing. The son was playing with slime at the table next to us as we were trying to eat (very unprofessional) he was sneezing all over and not getting a tissue or covering his mouth. It would be different if he was sat away from us but he was at the table right next to us. The server was nice but she was wearing sweat pants and it seemed very unprofessional and unfitting as I’ve never gone to a restaurant where this is expectable. The food was okay, every other Peruvian restaurant in the valley is still better than this one by far. The “beef” I got with my Taillarines Verdes was not real. I read another review saying it was goat which I believe it. When I asked about it, the girl said “I don’t know what cut it is, all I know is that it is beef.” She did offer to exchange it but I was nauseous from the oil and taste of the meat that I declined. My husband and I were in there for over an hour and we were the only people there the entire time (at peak hours). We always go to Peruvian restaurants in the valley for dinner at that time and so it being empty makes a lot of sense now. The owner sat behind us and didn’t even bother to check on us or ask about our meal, sad that a teen in sweats was the face of the restaurant. All the other Peruvian restaurants in the area are better portions, prices, locations, and quality if you are craving Peruvian food. We will not be going back, truly have never been to a filthier...
Read moreMy family and I are big fans of Peruvian food. This place so far has not disappointed us. Even though COVID has interrupted much of everyone's life, this place helps you forget for just a brief moment. Ordering by telephone with contactless delivery is available as well as dine in services. This place takes all the appropriate attention to health and safety requirements.
Now since this is a restaurant, lets talk about the stuff that really matters. You will find Don Pedrito a pleasant and cozy place with friendly staff, prompt service and well proportioned, (peruvian style), appropriately seasoned plates of traditional peruvian food. Ceviche is a favorite of ours, and we have tried them all. (Better than my mother-in-law's.) Their breakfast Chicarron with sweet potatoes and salsa criolla is amazing, (Just come early because it sells out fast.) The thing I love the most is that it's just like what you would be served in Peru. Every plate I have seen is authentic and on point. In every aspect. The only caveat for me is thier aji verde, it is not you standard aji. But it enhances the plates so well, you dont even miss it. Now to Don Pedrito I say, If you keep true to the peruvian standards of food, you may have many years of prosperity. But if you follow the footsteps of Del Mar Al Lago, El Rocoto, and Mi Casita along with many others, you will loose...
Read moreThis place was disappointing, we changed tables 3 times because they all wobbled, the table clothes were dirty and so were the glasses and cutlery. I ordered food based on other reviews, my son ordered the chicharron de pollo, he didn't like it, it was chunky breasts with no seasoning, fried, I ordered 2 appetizers to share, even though I told the waitress to put that order first, my food came before and they wouldn't cancel the appetizer, the Lomo tasted good, the cerviche was ok, I feel like the flavors were decent but my son's dish was terrible. They forgot to bring my husband's food and then the owner came out and said the waitress didn't write it so we didn't order it, so you have 3 people but only 2 ordered and you didn't ask the 3rd person what they would like? She probably didn't understand because their English wasn't sufficient to take orders. The corner where it is is kind of guetto, it's kind of a scary looking corner. Someone needs to teach them how to clean and do maintenance on this place as it's falling apart. We won't be back as we question their hygiene. We should've known when there was only 1 table on a Saturday at 5pm, we had come from Puroperu because they had...
