Have you tried the Farmers Daughter in Tecumseh, OK? This was the cutest little restaurant. Everything we got was well worth the trip, and the price! #oklahoma #localeats #okc #smallbusiness #foryoupage

Mrs. Flip Out had meetings in the area and wanted to try The Farmer’s Daughter Market for lunch. She really loved it; as she put it, it was a great spot to have a quiet lunch or meet with friends for “girl food:” soup, sandwiches, etc. But it was also the perfect lunch if you want bbq. Mrs. Flip Out tried the soup-sandwich combo with tomato basil soup and the chicken salad sandwich. Both were excellent and perfectly seasoned; she liked that the chicken salad was more savory than sweet and the tomato soup had a bold flavor. Service was excellent. After lunch, she took a look around. They offer a variety of pastries daily and there is a “Dinner Bell Takery” to purchase prepared dinner items to take home. The attached shop had a wide selection of the Market’s bbq sauces, pickles, and other canned goods. While she managed to resist the sweets in the front case, the second bakery had an even more impressive selection. She tried their lemon berry bar, which was like a lemon bar, cheesecake, and cake all layered to create a very delicious and unique dessert bar. She brought me an Oreo brownie and it was amazing. If you’re in Tecumseh, take time to stop at the Farmer’s Daughter Market.

This is a great little spot I found by accident. I was really surprised to find such a cute little spot in Tecumseh. It was a bit of a drive to get here but well worth the stop. So many great desserts in the bake shop, a super good breakfast and much to look at. Restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Staff friend and helpful. You have to order up front and they offer you the chance to tip up front. That’s my really only negative comment. The food was delivered to our table, drinks are self serve except the orange juice. The quiche was a huge portion and the prices were wonderful. The toast was homemade bread and fantastic. Our meal for three had two waters and one OJ. Final price was right at $10 a person. My four eggs and two sausage was $8.99. Great pricing. I would have tipped 20% after my meal but i just can’t ever assume the service is worth a tip until after my meal.

My realtor bought a gift certificate online from the farmer’s daughter’s market. The Certificate was sent through the email and it had the employees name on it. The realtor did not come in and buy the plastic card because he lived 50 miles away. I went in weeks after he sent me the gift certificate with the farmer’s daughter‘s name address and phone number on the gift certificate. I tried to redeem it and they told me that they don’t give out paper certificates and if I had a receipt, they would honor it. I called my realtor he sent me the receipt. I went back to the cashier. She seen the receipt and did not order it and I suppose she got the manager and then some big tall guy come out and stood by them while they was explaining this to me that they don’t give out certificates like this. I paid for my food and went and sat down and called the realtor. He said I will call them. He said he called them and they acted like they were in no hurry to fix this problem and told him he must have been scammed whatever the problem was. Whatever the problem was, I feel like I was treated poorly. I wasn’t rude or demanding didn’t know what exactly was going on and I felt like they thought I was scamming them. I had my granddaughter with me and tell threatened like they might call the police on me because they think we were scamming them. I wouldn’t scam anyone over $100 gift certificate and I don’t think my realtor would either but my bad review is because of the way they treated us like we were trying to scam them or do something illegal. They never came back to my table and I left and...

I tried breakfast for the first time (9-24-22) since I was in the area. I ordered the cow poke breakfast which for me included scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns & biscuits and gravy. The eggs were good, although I would have preferred them fluffier, they were flat with no taste. I asked for the bacon to be made extra crispy, they were not. I didn't realize it but to substitute hash browns instead of hash brown casserole, it's an Up Charge of 2.00 more. I don't care for their hash brown casserole & the menu makes no mention of an additional charge for hash browns. The waitress asked me if I wanted sausage gravy & I said yes I would try it. Again, it's an Up Charge of 1.25 if you want sausage gravy. The menu makes no mention of an additional charge for sausage gravy. It would be helpful if the customer knew of these additional charges since they are not shown on the menu you look at while standing to place your order at the counter. Overall I paid 18.00 for breakfast including orange juice for just myself.

Although breakfast was decent, I don't know if I would return again for breakfast. There were however a full parking lot of cars on this Saturday morning so it is a popular place to visit...

Hey yall...listen to me. The Famer's Daughter Market has a 4.6 rating with 686 reviews, including this review, for a reason. My wife had been here once before and brought me out today. While standing in line to order, a very nice lady took us to our table and sat down with us to take our order. I thought to myself, "what a chill place this is that the server would sit and visit with us to take our order". After apologizing for having difficulty finding our items on the handheld device I told her how much I appreciated her having such a personable demeanor and found out this lady is the owner! Miss Deann was so helpful and friendly. My wife and I eat a plant-based diet and The The Farmer's Daughter has a plethora of plant-based and vegan menu options and will happily accommodate you. And we just happened to sit at the table next to Mr. Jim Smith, her husband, who knows everything there is to know about the pecan business. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. The sign out front says "Southern Food"; I'd say comfort food made with love. I will most certainly come again. Well worth the drive out from the City. (Later) the beans and cornbread go well...
