My realtor bought a gift certificate online from the farmer’s daughter’s market. The Certificate was sent through the email and it had the employees name on it. The realtor did not come in and buy the plastic card because he lived 50 miles away. I went in weeks after he sent me the gift certificate with the farmer’s daughter‘s name address and phone number on the gift certificate. I tried to redeem it and they told me that they don’t give out paper certificates and if I had a receipt, they would honor it. I called my realtor he sent me the receipt. I went back to the cashier. She seen the receipt and did not order it and I suppose she got the manager and then some big tall guy come out and stood by them while they was explaining this to me that they don’t give out certificates like this. I paid for my food and went and sat down and called the realtor. He said I will call them. He said he called them and they acted like they were in no hurry to fix this problem and told him he must have been scammed whatever the problem was. Whatever the problem was, I feel like I was treated poorly. I wasn’t rude or demanding didn’t know what exactly was going on and I felt like they thought I was scamming them. I had my granddaughter with me and tell threatened like they might call the police on me because they think we were scamming them. I wouldn’t scam anyone over $100 gift certificate and I don’t think my realtor would either but my bad review is because of the way they treated us like we were trying to scam them or do something illegal. They never came back to my table and I left and...
Read moreI tried breakfast for the first time (9-24-22) since I was in the area. I ordered the cow poke breakfast which for me included scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns & biscuits and gravy. The eggs were good, although I would have preferred them fluffier, they were flat with no taste. I asked for the bacon to be made extra crispy, they were not. I didn't realize it but to substitute hash browns instead of hash brown casserole, it's an Up Charge of 2.00 more. I don't care for their hash brown casserole & the menu makes no mention of an additional charge for hash browns. The waitress asked me if I wanted sausage gravy & I said yes I would try it. Again, it's an Up Charge of 1.25 if you want sausage gravy. The menu makes no mention of an additional charge for sausage gravy. It would be helpful if the customer knew of these additional charges since they are not shown on the menu you look at while standing to place your order at the counter. Overall I paid 18.00 for breakfast including orange juice for just myself.
Although breakfast was decent, I don't know if I would return again for breakfast. There were however a full parking lot of cars on this Saturday morning so it is a popular place to visit...
Read moreHey yall...listen to me. The Famer's Daughter Market has a 4.6 rating with 686 reviews, including this review, for a reason. My wife had been here once before and brought me out today. While standing in line to order, a very nice lady took us to our table and sat down with us to take our order. I thought to myself, "what a chill place this is that the server would sit and visit with us to take our order". After apologizing for having difficulty finding our items on the handheld device I told her how much I appreciated her having such a personable demeanor and found out this lady is the owner! Miss Deann was so helpful and friendly. My wife and I eat a plant-based diet and The The Farmer's Daughter has a plethora of plant-based and vegan menu options and will happily accommodate you. And we just happened to sit at the table next to Mr. Jim Smith, her husband, who knows everything there is to know about the pecan business. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. The sign out front says "Southern Food"; I'd say comfort food made with love. I will most certainly come again. Well worth the drive out from the City. (Later) the beans and cornbread go well...
