Let me start by saying our carhop Tevin was very attentive and professional. Unfortunately the medium sweet tea that we ordered was about 20% tea and 80% ice, not at all acceptable when it costs restaurants pennies to make tea. So we went to speak to the staff to request replacement of the tea. There was a young African American female, not sure if she was a manager or not but she replied in a really rude tone “we dont give free refills” to which I showed her a nearly full cup of ice and told her I’m not asking for a refill I’m asking for the original drink we ordered. She told me I needed to pay attention to the sign that the tea would be served with a lot of ice. What?? She pointed to a small green sign on the INSIDE where the food is prepared, so HOW in the world would I as a customer who is served outside, be able to see a sign stuck to the register on the inside ?? RIDICULOUS! Her attitude made a simple situation very aggravating, and was completely unprofessional. Tevin however stepped in bc I think he was embarrassed by the way she was talking to me, and said “I can just give you another tea mam that’s not a problem”. Now that’s the difference between an employee who cares about their customers and another who could care less. A tip for sonic though if you have to post a sign about so much ice in the tea, then imagine how many customers resent having to pay for iced tea that is served warm even with 80% ice in the cup !! Read moreI have had many bad experiences with this location prior to this review regarding wait times in the drive through and in the car stalls. From waiting 45 minutes just for a drink to being stuck in a line of only two cars for almost an hour to get my food. But today I decided to order DoorDash since it was late and I wanted to get a quick snack before heading to bed. I waited an hour and a half (no fault of DoorDash) with 4 different drivers heading to the store to collect my order. Each one had to cancel because the store still hadn’t started making my food over an HOUR after they accepted my order. (I decided to cancel my order at this point) I ordered a drink and two food items. That was it?… from my multiple visits to this location I have come to the conclusion that the workers are lazy, slow or just simply don’t care to do their job at all. Although I have no complaints about the quality of the food, the owner of this store needs to shut this location down for a while and reevaluate. One of the WORST sonic locations, and one of the WORST fast food locations in the Tega cay area. Please Don’t offer doordash at your store if your employees are going to ignore the orders. I tried it twice to give them a second chance, but the people who work there are so incredibly incompetent I’m amazed they can even find their way to work everyday. Both times we tried to order just a cheeseburger, but apparently that was too difficult to comprehend. They kept trying to ring it in as a double cheeseburger, then a combo, then a junior burger, then a plain burger, and pretty much anything else they could put in other than what we asked for. They even tried to tell us that they don’t do just burgers and it had to be a combo. We had similar problems for everything else we tried to order, as well. We finally gave up and just went with a combo because we had spent such a significant amount of time trying to do something that should take literally seconds to do. And then they forgot things when they gave us our food, and half of what we did receive was cold. The second time we tried we gave up before we even got halfway through ordering because the people who work there are just so dumb we couldn’t take it.
