Note: Writing this as part of a party of 7, just to be clear. Your experience may not be as bad because they may have only given us this experience for that reason. And honestly, if that is the case, they need to not do parties of certain sizes.
Our half of the table went ignored for much of the visit today.
When they passed out silverware, they had other guests in our party pass us our silverware. I’d rather not have other people passing me my silverware, having multiple people touching it. Would have been nice to just have the server come to our end and hand us our silverware.
Then when she took down our orders, she had us practically yell across the table to her our orders instead of coming down to us. I didn’t even know it was my turn until someone tapped me.
Then when we got our drinks, she had them pass my drink to me. Somebody passed me a water, not what I had ordered, but we had assumed everyone was getting water plus their drink. Just a lot of unnecessary confusion.
When we got our food, they did bring it directly to us, which was nice.
When they came around to ask if we needed anything extra, our end of the table was ignored. When they came to refill water, they ignored our side as well. It’s difficult to get any server’s attention. Like they don’t have peripheral vision and can only see what is in their walkway.
I wanted some siracha sauce or something spicy as a sauce. Never got a chance to ask for it, even trying to flag someone down.
The food was okay. I had a crab fried rice. I only tasted one piece of crab in the entire dish though, so it was more like just fried rice with a pinch of crab.
Not coming back though,...
Read moreI’ve seen glowing reviews of this place, so when my husband and I decided to check it out, we were excited for an authentic Thai dining experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from the flavorful, balanced dishes we were hoping for.
The food was overwhelmingly sweet—unbelievably sweet. To the point where it was almost inedible. We started with a papaya salad, which is a classic Thai dish. Sadly, it had such a strong garlic flavor that it completely masked any other ingredients. But the real issue was the overbearing sweetness in every dish we tried.
Next, we ordered Pad Thai, a Thai staple. What arrived was an overly sugary, sticky mess that none of us could bring ourselves to eat. It tasted more like a dessert than a savory meal, which was incredibly disappointing. But the biggest letdown was the Massaman curry. It was so sweet that it tasted more like a sugary stew than the rich, spiced curry we were expecting. After a few spoonfuls, we couldn’t continue.
It’s clear that this restaurant has watered down its dishes to cater to Western tastes, making them excessively sweet and unbalanced. Thai cuisine is known for its harmony of spicy, salty, sour, and sweet, but here, it’s all sugar with no depth or complexity. Frankly, it felt like a whitewashed version of what Thai food should be.
We paid for the meal and left, still hungry and feeling let down. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai experience, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. This place has a long way to go in terms of getting their flavor profiles right. I hope they reconsider the amount of sugar they’re using—food should taste like food,...
Read moreI just visited Thailand for the first time and been craving for Roti. I also learned to love Thailand and wanting to visit again this year. During my stay in Tailand, all i did was find and eat different versions of Roti and so when I returned, I keep looking for it. It took me hours and days finding restaurants that serves Roti til I found this restaurant. My excitement turned into disappointment when i opened the bag. It doesnt smell as good when newly cooked. Their Roti is $10 so i bought 2 but got charged $26 (i only did to-go when i visited)
I hope you take this as a constructive criticism. Roti i got was thick. It should be thin and sweet. It wasnt :( With the price i paid, there should be at least an ice cream to top it. But it doesnt even taste like the authentic Roti :'( The service was good. Maybe it just shocked me when I got charged $6 over. I thought it was the tax but why that much, well, what can I say. Sad. The restaurant looked amazing so i was expecting that there could be a Thai / Indian cook that would do my Roti well, but when I saw it, no good yummy smell, Roti is very thick, not sweet, idk :'( i felt bad and i disappointed my own craving :'( (**i said THAI/INDIAN because most Indians in thailand sell streetfood roti as well and they are amazing.) It looked more like an oily pancake but no crisp because it wasnt thin, and for me wasnt even $10 worth, but im hoping that it would be very much improved.
Maybe i am truly expecting as it says AUTHENTIC THAI CUISINE and tried many Roti versions in Thailand (the expensive one, and the streetfood ones)
**other pics are Roti...
