Love this place. Especially compared to its neighboring hobby stores and ill give you a real life rundown right now. I went to hobby people of Temecula last night (1/29/14) and waited by the parts counter for fifteen minutes before another older man walked up (i am nineteen). THEN did an associate walk up to him and ask to help him. Thankfully the man told him that i was here first, not that mad because i know what it is like to work in a busy work place even though it was dead in there. I asked for a simple part, the man spent no time looking for it and threw it on the counter then i told him i was finished and ready to check out so he proceed to help the other man and i waited an additional ten minutes by the register before i was helped just to get home to realize that he sold me the wrong part. I returned to hobby people that night, at 7:02 (2 minutes after closing) and they refused to talk to me. Never again will i go to hobby people and their shitty costumer service.
When I arrive at Hobby Town I am always welcomed by the cashier and as soon as i walk up to the parts counter there is always someone willing to help me if they are not already helping someone else. In addition to Hobby Town's always eager to help attitude, if I ever have any concerns about how to use a product they will open it up and show me how it works if i purchase it. The people at Hobby Town USA are real people and after seeing how other stores treat customers (Especially if they look younger) my business will remain here. Thank you Yusef for always...
Read moreJustin and the team at HobbyTown Temecula set the gold standard for what a hobby shop should be. I’ve been in the RC game for decades, and it’s rare to find a shop owner like Justin who not only knows the hobby inside and out—but lives it. He’s passionate about racing, genuinely loves RC cars, and it shows in everything he does.
What really sets this place apart is the personal touch. Justin will stash parts or kits he knows I’m going to need—or just plain want—and hold onto them until I’ve got the funds. That kind of trust and customer care is unheard of these days.
I literally drive up from San Diego and pass right by Discount Hobbies in San Marcos (which used to be a HobbyTown back in the day) without even thinking twice. Why? Because this is the shop that gets it right.
Even the staff behind the counter—yeah, the girls included—are sharp and actually know the products. No blank stares, no confusion. Just real support from real enthusiasts.
HobbyTown Temecula isn’t just a hobby store—it’s a place where the RC community is respected and supported. Whether you’re a casual basher or a serious racer, this is the place to be. Props to Justin for running it the way...
Read moreI'm knocking them due to some comments made in front of me and a few other employees. @Christmas I was planning on buying an rc car from a new business and try them out.
A customer had asked, "could you price match hobby peoples sc truck" I was personally looking electric traxxas rustler.
Upon turning down the offer you the other customer, the customer left the store. The next comments are true and correct.
"I don't know why anybody would shop hobby people, they are just a department type hobby store"
"They are over priced"
