I've been struggling with deciding whether or not I should post this. It's been 5 days since my experience, and I've decided that yes, this needs to be posted.
I arrived Thursday morning, June 19th around 8:45 a.m. I went inside as I needed to stretch my legs (halfway point on my 2.5 hr drive that morning). I ordered a large medium roast with cream. The kid (maybe 20 years old?) taking my order had reached for his face several times while taking the order of the person ahead of me -- scratching his nose area, touching his face, generally things considered a no=no as a food handler -- and continued to do the same as I ordered. I watched, with mild displeasure, as he touched the guy's muffin, bag, and coffee with this hand.
I watched as he filled my coffee, holding the cup by the top rim with his bare hand, then he grabs the lid with his entire hand, covering and touching the small opening I'd be drinking out of, with the same hand he'd been touching his face with. I should mention he also filled the cup maybe just over halfway with coffee, and dumped way too much milk into it to fill up.
As he hands me the coffee, I refuse it. I tell him that I've watched him touch his face several times over the last two orders, and that I would need a coffee given to me with clean hands please (I was as polite as I could be, and yes, I did say please). He goes to the back (where the drive through is, I'm assuming?) to get me another coffee. As he's back there, I mention to the female working alongside him (she had the headphones in her ear as she was busy taking drive through orders and pretty busy herself, doubtful she'd witnessed any of this) what I'd witnessed. I made sure to say it quietly, and that I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. She says "ok" as if this is of no concern to her. A few minutes later, a different young man comes out of the back, with my coffee with lid on, and hands it to me.
I never saw them make/pour this. It's lukewarm at best. I walk out of the Better Buzz, take off the lid to check it, notice several floating coffee grounds, and immediately dump the coffee out on the ground and throw away the cup. All kinds of "what-ifs" running through my mind, obviously, but I couldn't bring myself to go back in and ask to speak to a manager. Maybe I should have? Either way, that's exactly what happened. No embellishment, details correct to the best of my recollection.
0/10 for service and cleanliness Do better,...
Read moreBeen coming here for awhile now. Several months. I love their matcha and hazelnut coffee and also appreciate the customizations for my drinks. Taste 100 times better than Starbucks for sure. I come here probably 1-3 times a week. I've also purchased their vanilla powder Sweetner that they use for their drinks so I can also make my own drinks at home. Super yummy. (Although probably not the best of ingredients but also not the worst-healthwise). As far as staff, I put a 4 star because though they are usually really nice, there have been several times like the staff is either goofing around or not really paying attention to the orders. Once in awhile is fine, I'm not trying to be overly judgemental at all. I'm honestly glad they have a safe and fun environment that they can work in, but would appreciate a little bit more attention to detail in their orders. They've messed up the size on my drink or completely forgotten some of drink orders on several occasions. Sometimes I get worried they aren't making my drink right (half sweetened) especially with me trying to watch my sugar intake. (Not that that's their problem obviously), but again, it's just the attention to detail. And yes I agree, it is a long line sometimes, which I expect at any busy time at a coffee shop. Starbucks is no different. Either way though, I still am in love with this place, I haven't gone in yet, I've only done the drive thru. And I'll definitely be coming back a happy customer. ❤️ Also, the app is great and you get points! With how much I come here, it's definitely worth it to...
Read moreI have avoided writing this review for quite some time now, and have tried to give Better Buzz multiple chances to redeem themselves, however it seems they are moving backwards. The employees at this store are so disrespectful it is beyond me. Multiple of them have anger issues, and are flat out rude to customers, ignoring them, etc. There was an instance where the male barista with curly hair, in the drive thru was throwing cups at the wall, slamming stuff down, and cussing so loudly and saying rude things about myself and other customers that I could hear it through the window (FYI we can hear all the conversations, glass isn’t sound proof). The management here is a rotating clock, every time I have come there is a new manager, as the last one either quit or was fired. The employees are overworked, and the place is understaffed beyond what I would consider understaffing. The place is dirty, bathroom is maybe cleaned every other day, trashes are constantly overflowing, dirt on the ground, flies all in the pastry thing in the front, the list goes on. The wait times can range from 3 minutes to 45 minutes, drive thru and inside, and no one offers any explanation, they just sit there and stare at you, or ignore you. This place needs to shut down, and rethink this store and location, something needs to be done or you will lose all your business. I have already shared my opinions with multiple people in my community to not come here, it’s a waste of time and money, to get treated the way these employees treat their...
