Worth it!
My husband and I tried this place for the first time for lunch today and loved it. You get what you pay for. Crab legs aren't cheap, so expect to spend some money here. But the food tastes great! They offer crab, lobster, shrimp, fish, and even chicken. We chose the shrimp apetizer, it was larger than I expected and came with potatoe strips. I almost could have just eaten that for lunch, but we wanted to explore further. We had Blue crab legs (I don't recommend those because there was very little meat) and Snow Crab legs which were AMAZING! The Snow Crab was buttery, sweet, tender, juicy and wonderful. All of the meat we had was very flavorful. We also had corn and rice on the side.
The atmosphere is trendy and casual. There is paper covering the tables because they expect you to make a mess. In fact, they didn't even give us plates, they said most people just put the empty shells on the table. My husband and I like things nice and tidy, so we asked for plates. The side of cut corn came in a small skillet, the crab legs came in a bag. Pretty much everyone at the table just digs in and shares. Very casual indeed.
Be sure to remove all jewelry from your hands BEFORE eating. Things are going to get messy. I had butter and crab juice all over my hands. At the end I had to ask for a wet napkin to clean up. You'd think they would automatically offer those.
Next time I plan to explore their extensive drink menu. This time I only had a Vietnamese iced coffee (which was more like an iced mocha).
Overall we really liked the food and will be back...when we are in the mood for Snow Crab and willing to pay for an expensive and deliscious meal. Honestly it was the best crab I've ever had and I'm craving it...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying this is about our tenth time coming here. We have even brought parties and families here. On Friday, my husband and I were coming back from celebrating our anniversary. Our bill came to over $80 with an 18% tip for takeout!!! We got home and our food was so spicy, we couldn't even eat it. Not even my husband who likes it spicy. Again, we ATE there frequently and never has it been inedible (except for when the staff were smoking cigarettes with the doors open and the entire place stunk so we had to pack up our food Togo). I called them and they said we could have a discount "next time." Well, there will never be a next time so I sent my husband in for our money back. They refused at first and only gave $30 on $80 when we couldn't eat any of it. I literally strained it in a collider and rinsed it with water. STILL INEDIBLE. After showing them not one bite was eaten they said they asked the cooks and it's possible they put it all in one spicy bag. If I go to a store and the product is broken, I get a full refund. I couldn't even take one bite and had to eat my kids McDonalds fries on my anniversary. I have never been so disappointed. I was even told by the winery we were at prior not to eat there and I defended them. STAY FAR AWAY. Oh and we live almost an hour away!!! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. And they were so rude about making it right when we were nothing, but nice! They claim "they don't do refunds!" Again, stay...
Read moreI'm not one to throw shade at someone's business but the two experiences I have had at this establishment compel me to warn other people looking for good seafood to avoid this place. The first time I went, I put a phone order in and they got the spice level wrong. Instead of making it correctly, the cashier just handed me two containers of dry seasoning. Adding the dry seasoning didn't help at all. I decided to give them a second chance 4 months later, maybe they were having a bad day previously. I ordered online and arrived 20 minutes later. I was told to it would be 15 more minutes. When the order was ready I was told that they were out of two items (clams and catfish). Why didn't they tell me when I first arrived so I could order an alternative item? The cashier gave me a piece of paper with a number to call to get a refund. When I called the number the automated system said my order was not found. I went back to ask the cashier about this, she stated " it was out her hands. I have to deal with a third party who runs their website. They attempted to replace the missing items, but it was the chef who had to step in and help out late in this episode. The crawfish are frozen not live as advertised and the shrimp are definitely not jumbo. Overall just two bad experiences and not worth the price. They will not be...
