Boba & Donuts — Restaurant in Tempe

PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Tonight we were sitting in the parking lot waiting for one of our person to go into an establishment next to Boba Donuts. It was about 30 mins before closing. As we were waiting we watched an employee go from the store to the trunk of her car which was parked back in, in front of the store. She made several trips from her car to the donut store. We watched on two trips she took out several large amounts of empty donut boxes from the trunk. We knew they were empty because they were unfolded. On her third trip we watched her take a tray of donuts not covered from the trunk of her CAR and place them in the store donut display which appears she was setting up for the next day. As we sat in disbelief of what we were watching, she came to her car again and took another tray of donuts, uncovered from her trunk, and placed them in the donut display. Her last trip from the car was empty trays from the trunk. The vehicle was a smaller car like a Sonata so her trunk was not that big for all that. Our question if she was transporting donuts from another store, why not use one of those boxes to transport rather open, uncovered, in a car trunk? Ewww. Here are some photos, but we have a...

The donuts are thick, airy, sweet, perfectly soft and tasted like they were fresh out of the oven. The iced matcha tea with added tapioca pearls is very subtly sweet in a good way, the boba pearls are nice and chewy but they did not stick in our teeth’s. However, the best part of this stop for us was the service. The owner was a very nice man, he went above and beyond adding extra donuts to our box, giving us a larger size of drink than we ordered( small to large) and even rounding down our total. I stopped in the other day to pickup donuts for my team because my normal spot was closed. And, what a happy turn of events. The owner was LOVELY - so warm and welcoming. After explaining how I ended up here to try it, she made sure to throw in an extra donut so I could compare her apple fritter over my normal spot... and guess what?!? 12/10! Give this place your business, they are phenomenal. Apple fritter = nice crunchy edges, small apple chunks, but not too sweet. Buttermilk donut was absolute perfection. Jelly filled was the softest, chewiest dough. All just amazing. Thank you!...
