We recently stayed in a newly renovated room at Studio 6 and were highly impressed with the level of cleanliness and quality. The furnishings were top-notch, featuring new, comfortable mattresses, pillows, and soft linens, along with high-quality towels. The room is well-equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. However, it's worth noting that the refrigerator is considerably smaller than what we've seen at other extended-stay locations. For those with specific medication or dietary needs, this may require more frequent trips to the grocery store. Fortunately, several stores are conveniently located nearby, including a Walmart directly across the street and a Safeway a short distance away. Essential kitchen items such as pots, pans, and silverware must be requested from the front desk. The front desk also provides complimentary toiletries upon request. The staff is consistently friendly and efficient, particularly the housekeepers and the night shift clerks. In the lobby, complimentary coffee is available. The pool is well-maintained, and an elevator is available for easy access to upper floors. I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay, regardless of the time of day. The hotel's location is a significant advantage, offering easy access to a wide variety of restaurants, stores, and major retailers like Costco and Floor & Decor. For those using public transportation, bus stops with access to the free Tempe Orbiter are a...
Read moreA few issues I had with checking in and the stay: I had booked a room which was handicap accessible, but was told that there was none available. I mentioned of that was the case then what’s the point of having it an option during booking. They just apologized but nothing was further done. Parking is very limited. Partly due to a half of the parking lot taken up by construction supplies. I didn’t want to leave my spot because o would not be able to get to my room unless I parked on the other side of the building. Rooms were decent. Furniture looked old and worn. Visible patch work throughout the room. But cleanliness was acceptable. Did find stains on my sheets which were unpleasant to the eye but manageable. There was no ice machine on property. We were told we had to go to a corner gas station store for ice. The room we got came with a full fridge and ice cube trays on the freezer, but it was questionable to use them. The beds were not the most comfortable or stable. I tried to sit on the edge of the bed and the entire bed nearly flipped on me. The middle of the bed sunk in. The price advertised is good for booking the rooms but when you get on site they charge another $100...

Motel 6 in Tempe became more than just a place to stay—it was home for a few nights when I had nowhere else to go. After my world fell apart, this small, unassuming room gave me shelter, a place to breathe, and a moment to gather myself.
From a practical standpoint, the motel offered exactly what it promised—an affordable, no-frills stay. The room was clean, the bed was decent, and the staff was efficient, if not overly warm. The location was convenient, close to what I needed at the time, and despite its simplicity, there was a strange kind of comfort in the routine hum of motel life.
But what stood out most wasn’t the amenities—it was the fact that, in those nights of uncertainty, the staff created a safe, calm environment. They didn’t judge. And sometimes, that’s all we need.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in Tempe, this place will do the job. But for me, it was something more—it was a brief moment of stability in the chaos. And for that, I’m...
