I had the worst experience with Mattress Firm. I moved across the country and thought I was taking advantage of the benefits of a national line of mattress stores, but I wish I hadn't. I purchased a mattress, boxspring, bed frame, and mattress pad from one store, receiving assurances that the store close to where I was moving would handle everything associated with delivery. I did this more than 3 weeks in advance. After moving, and before my bed was scheduled to arrive, I called the store in the area that I had been given contact information for to confirm my order. They had no record of my order and had to call me back after tracking it down. After a conversation with a rude customer service representative who told me that "there was nothing to be done," I did hear back from the local store who had tracked down my order. After confirming a second time the day before my bed was to be delivered, you can imagine my frustration when me bed did NOT show up. I had just moved across the country, had been sleeping on friends' couches for a week and had been waiting for my bed to be delivered on the day and time I had set up almost a month in advance. The customer service line was not open during my delivery window and the local store had closed. I called first thing the next morning and the rep at the store informed me that the bed had been delivered the night before... Of course, this was a complete lie, and a completely ridiculous explanation to give to a customer that had not received his product. I was told there was nothing to be done except wait until they could speak with the warehouse. I then received a call informing me that I had been text messaging with the driver the night before and told him that I had already received a bed. This is not only one of the weirdest situations I have experienced ordering ANYTHING, but also completely unprofessional- I had, in fact, NOT been texting with any driver the night before. I had been sitting in my new apartment the entire afternoon (well before and well after the delivery window), waiting for a phone call that never came. And the fact that I was told by a Mattress Firm representative that I had been doing something that I wasn't was insulting. I was treated as inferior, unintelligent, and was deemed culpable when in reality the guilt lay with Mattress Firm entirely. A final delivery time was finally confirmed, only after I insisted to receive a phone call from the driver ahead of time. The bed did eventually show up- 2 days after my scheduled delivery time. Needless to say, I will never be a customer with Mattress Firm again, and will encourage family and friends in various cities across the country to seek other companies. Six months ago he had to start going to physical therapy and a Pain clinic. When you’re young you can pretty much sleep on anything… And believe me we did but when you get older and especially when you start having medical issues like my husband, getting a good night sleep becomes a health and wellness issue. That’s what led me to walk into a Mattress Firm store on Elliott Road in Tempe. I had no idea what I was looking for… But when I walked into the store I was greeted by a man named Nate. I explained what was going on with my husband and Nate started asking me general questions about my husband size, sleep positions and patterns. We came up with the perfect solution… Mattress Firm was also having a sale so Nate helped me pick out a mattress, frame, pillow, and mattress cover. He also arranged next day delivery service. I was so relieved… Too often you go into stores these days and you’re met with people that have little knowledge of their products and no idea how to help you… Not so with Mattress Firm. Sales associates seem to truly understand the science of getting a good nights sleep… Super grateful for...
Read moreLet me just start by saying that I had fully intended to go to several stores to shop mattresses. When I entered the store I was greeted and within a few moments José introduced himself. Before we even stepped onto the sales floor he gave me a consultation. He asked quite a few questions mattress related and some about me as a person. He made me feel welcomed and not pressured to buy a mattress. He also told me a few funny stories about himself and his family that made me feel more like I was shopping with a friend. It was so nice and refreshing. José was very knowledgeable about the mattresses he was showing me. In the end I purchased a Tempur-Pedic and an adjustable base. At checkout I met his co-worker Manny, let me just say that these two together are the dynamic duo! Both gentlemen are kind, courteous and knowledgeable. I was approved for credit within a few moments, picked the date of delivery and was out the door! Happy, satisfied and would highly recommend this store to anyone who is in the market for a mattress. I personally have been in management in the restaurant business and in retail. Let me just say that whoever hired José definitely hired the right person for the right seat on the right bus!!!!
