I should have taken a picture of the chicken burrito that I received from this place, but I was so disgusted. I walked, and it smelled good, so I thought I would try. I was washing my coffee cup out and saw a gentleman eating what looked like to be a taco 🌮. I asked him if it was good? He said yes, and the green sauce was not bad, nor hot. I said, "Glad to hear!" I ordered a chicken burrito and went to purchase other items from the store and picked up my burrito. I was so hungry, so I immediately started in on it as soon as I washed my hands after getting into my semi truck. It was wrapped in paper and the aluminum foil paper outside. I was glad, being careful not to touch. I am a bit of a stickler with germs. I bit I to the burrito, and as I was chewing, trying to savor the flavors. I proceeded to take another small bite. The first bite was in my throat on its way down and and my mouth immediately started burning. It's wasn't like a hot pepper sauce burning, but like a bad sore throat! Bacterial infection type burning! I immediately spit the food out and cleared my mouth out obsessively! I grabbed my mouthwash and started swishing profusely! I kept the mouthwash in my mouth until the burning stopped. I called and explained to the lady that took my order the situation, and she asked if I was allergic to anything I said latex. But, it has been 35 years since I had a reaction, and it was due to spandex. I asked for my money to be put back on my card, and was told she cashed out her draw. Wasn't able to do that! I asked for a corporate office to send it to me. She said that option is not available. I'm not sure what or why that happened, but I won't be patronizing this establishment. All I have is a receipt. I immediately threw the burrito away, packaging and all! Just to be safe and disinfect my...
Read moreDeceptive pricing. Since I moved out of the south mountain area, I’ve been looking for a good taco shop near me. This was not it. The food is deceptively priced. On the board, the price for what I ordered, carne asada fries, was $13.45 before tax. When I went to the register I was told it’s 15.10. The fact that management has not taken the time to update a significant price increase is incredibly deceptive to customer expectations. Typically I notice when taco shops have price increases, it’s perhaps a dollar off which is normal and indicates adjusting to the economy. A larger increase like this should be noted. Also considering I’ve never paid more than $13.00 for carne asada fries at other taco shops around the valley, this price differential makes me leery. Furthermore, the option on screen includes a drink but there is no pricing option for a la carte without a drink. On the other hand, the food was delicious which is why this is not a one...
Read moreThe food here is so amazing. Ordered via UberEats simply because I got into town late and it was a place nearby that was open... could not believe how good the food was. It was so good that we literally ordered it again the NEXT DAY for lunch. The Birra Torta is quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had anywhere. The barbacoa tacos were savory and excellent. Shrimp taco was incredibly large for the price and the shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My daughter loved her bean and cheese burrito. I recommended this to friends in town as well -that's when we discovered it was in a Shell station -haha. Anyway, they agreed that they hadn't had Mexican this good in years. Wish I could get back there... might even try to get food from there if I ever have more than a two hour...
