Pita Valley 1835 E University Dr #9, Tempe, AZ 85281
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pita Valley, located at 1835 E University Dr #9 in Tempe, AZ, and it was a delightful experience! After meeting with clients in the area, I decided to stop by for lunch, and I couldn't have chosen a better spot.
Upon entering, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff, who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for a quick meal or a leisurely lunch with friends. The menu features a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I opted for the kabobs plate, which came beautifully presented alongside some grilled vegetables.
What truly stood out were the grilled onions—they were absolutely the best I've ever had! I've tried grilled vegetables at various Middle Eastern restaurants, but Pita Valley's grilled onions were exceptional. Their sweet, smoky flavor made the dish unforgettable, and I would happily return just to savor those again.
In addition to the kabobs, Pita Valley offers a range of other delicious options, including chicken shawarma, falafel, and kafta platters, all reasonably priced. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied.
I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and appreciated the attentive service from the staff. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, where I plan to try their lamb chops, which have received rave reviews from other diners. If you're in the Tempe area and craving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, Pita Valley is definitely...
Read moreLet me tell you about a place i went to dine in. A pal in the city (I was visiting..i am from Texas...south south Texas) recommended this place to grab some grub. I arrived..not knowing whether to sit..or go to counter to order... walked to counter...and immediately was greeted by a man slicing delicious meat on a board. He was courteous..and eager to help..ordered...and I paid at the counter. The gent at the counter was a pleasing employee...(maybe owner 🤷) I asked about dessert..and said to him.."whatever good good you recommend "... He smiled and said.." i have the right one for you ",,, I was floored with the size and quantity of my platter..all freshly diced for my indulgence ...IT WAS DELISH...
The surprise here..was that dessert.... I don't know what it's called..but looked like caramelized coconut atop wet bread over a layer of some white yummy cheese. It made my complete day!
If you are in the area...and want something a tad different than the "run of the mill"...this place i highly recommend....all this plate..dessert...this large pita tortilla..and drink..was only 25$... So much..i ate less than half the plate...enjoyed every bite!!

Read moreHave ordered take-out twice from here with a friend. I had ordered the Beef Kebab Platter before and definitely have to say that their Chicken Kebab Platter is the best so far. Chicken is well-seasoned and juicy and the rice is delicious as well. The platter comes with hummos, a salad and pickles. The chicken also comes with a smattering of toum. We ordered french fries the second time around and ate them up quick. They are reminiscent of OG McDonald’s fries but better seasoned 🙂.
Pro-tip, if you’re in date mode but on a budget I suggest just adding an extra kebab for $5. It’s just the right amount of food. Also pita is always necessary. The mango lemonade is homemade and super refreshing too.🥭
The restaurant is family-owned and run and everyone is warm and friendly, especially the older gentleman who I’m assuming is the owner. He helped me pick out a loose-leaf tea mix from their market section on my first visit.
Pita Valley is top on our list right now for Middle Eastern (specifically Lebanese) fare in the greater Phoenix area....
