Someburros — Restaurant in Tempe

2nd & Final Update:

I've genuinely given Someburros in Tempe-Rural Rd many opportunities to keep me coming back!!! I eat, sleep, drink, and breathe Mexican cuisine. I loved the the Tostada Verdi the first time I ordered it. 3 orders later and I can honestly state I will not be back. The cooks believe everything must be so spicy and hot. Mild Salsa caused instant tears and the worst heartburn I've suffered in years. Isabel, the guacamole is still so spicy hot that my nose crinkled. Apparently, the cooks cannot tell the difference between beef and pork. I'm guessing Someburros-Tempe has a shortage of tomatoes so severe its rationed out to 3 tiny bits of red per plate!! This diner is NEVER busy while every business around them is standing room every night.

Too expensive. Poor service. Never get what is ordered.

I highly recommend going to any of other Mexican eateries within a half block for a better dining experience.

I was contacted by Isabel and she convinced us to give this establishment a second chance. I am so glad we did! We had the Tostada Verdi on our 2nd visit and now we crave it. The food offered by Someburro is sublime! The employees are a cheerful and a joy to converse with. The frozen margarita is refreshing as well. We will keep coming back.

It was really convenient to be able to place my order online then pick it up. The green corn tamale was fantastic. The breakfast burrito was great too. The rice and beans were standard fare. But be warned!! We ordered guacamole dip too. It was five alarm spicy hot. Nothing on the menu clued us into how unpalatable this dip was going to...

Last night my family and I ordered Someburros delivery through DoorDash as we got ready to watch the Vikings downfall. I placed the order around 5:15 to to make sure I'd be stuffing my face with the crispiest, most savory steak quesadilla this world has to offer, right at kickoff. However, while tracking my driver on the app, it appeared he had no intention of delivering the food as his car was shown driving in the opposite direction of my house. I call a few times, no answer. Discouraged, disgruntled, and demoralized, I call up Someburros to explain the situation. To my amazement, manager Camden Vasquez assured me that he would have the situation taken care of and the food delivered within the hour. After what couldn't have been more than 30 minutes, I get a knock at the door. With my hopes high but my expectations low, I answer the door. Standing outside with a smile and (most importantly) my order, was Camden. Overjoyed, I quickly confirmed he wasn't a Vikings fan and invited him in to watch the game with my family and I. Because his shift had ended, he was able to stay for the duration of the game and we all had a blast. He even made sure to bring some extra complimentary churros for the kids. He now babysits for my wife and I on the weekends and is going to be the best man at my wedding this...

I had my first experience at someburros today, and I will definitely be returning! I was greeted with a smile by the cashier, Brooklyn. I told her it was my first time in and wasn’t sure how this worked, she explained to me I can either dine-in or order to go, I chose to dine-in. I wanted something light and not too filling. She recommended the two beef tacos with rice and beans. She was also kind enough to describe the juices they offered as well as the coffees. I was a little hesitant to order coffee, considering it wasn’t a coffee shop, but she made my coffee even better than my local coffee shop! She recommended cinnamon sugar with whipped cream, which made it 10 times better! My food was brought to me promptly and it was exactly what I was looking for. I complimented her great customer service and she was very appreciative and we got to talking about her history working here, and she explained to me that one of their values is treating their customers as their own family due to them being a family own restaurant.
