Speechless. Was inspired to come here from the photos, which had made the food look incredibly delicious and appealing; this however was mistake number one. When we got here, we spent about twenty minutes deciding what to get, mainly because their menu had no reference pictures for any of the items. However we did place our order, and then came the wait. We waited about 40 minutes for six items to get out. Here comes the genius part; the staff don’t actually put in your order, but rather have come up with their own system of abbreviating your items on platters and figuring out what they’re actually making midway through. Honestly, we were probably asked 50 different times what we ordered, making it extremely inconvenient. And then came the best part; not only do you have to spent decades figuring out your order, they also have the genius idea of allowing you to make your own food instead of just making it. Guy asked me what I wanted on my carne asada fries… like how difficult and complex can carne asada fries be? Furthermore, I asked him for cilantro, to which he dunked half a ton of onions and continued like he didn’t just ruin my meal after waiting 40 minutes. The great dealbreaker came when we actually got to eat the food - my pollo fries tasted like school lunch, the carne asada was flavorless, like you could have made the same meal with regular fry’s with a side of sauce. The burritos were nasty, and the food upset my stomach worse than Indian food from the streets of Burma. The reviews are probably paid for, cause I truly doubt a real human came here and enjoyed this food. AI has come a long way, even elevating this dump disguised as...
Read moreWe were both young when I first saw you, I close my eyes and the tacos start to bloom. 🌮 In Tempe air, on Mill Ave glare, I see the queso lights, the carne divine — see the waiter smile as he brings me fries, and sayin’, “Welcome to El Paisano’s tonight.” ✨
🎵 And I said, “Paisano, take me somewhere the salsa flows!” I’ll be waitin’, where the churros always glow. You’ll be the chef and I’ll be the one who stays — it’s a love story, baby bring more plates. ❤️
Pulled up hungry, burritos on my mind, My heart said “yes” by the very first bite. I close my eyes, the horchata’s right, I’m taste-trippin’ back to heaven tonight. ☁️
🎵 And I said, “Paisano, take me somewhere the tacos roll!” Add extra cheese, yeah, I’m losing control. They say the calories don’t count on dates — it’s a love story, baby bring more plates.
Bridge 🍴 Romeo, save me, I’ve been feelin’ hangry, These chips and guac hit sweet and tangy. It’s real love, no debate — carne asada is my soulmate. 😭💘
🎵 And I said, “Paisano, take me somewhere the music plays,” Margarita salt like glitter on my face. We’ll live happily ever after the taste — it’s a love story, baby just bring more...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite place but I don't know how they managed to mess up my online order twice. The first time they completely forgot my second meal and only delivered half the order. I waited about an hour to get my food delivered. I got a refund since my order was missing and ordered it again between the span of waiting for food it took about 3 and 1/2 hours to get my food. The second time I ordered Carne asada fries with Nacho cheese sauce which I payed extra for cheese sauce which they did not put on it. It was like eating plain fries with Lettece thrown on top. I'm in the top % of customers who order from El Paisano on DoorDash and a regular customer for YEARS. The quality of order and stingy serving has made this chain go down hill. The food is only good if your drunk enough to not have taste buds. Sadly I will never eat here again since the last few times I've gave it a chance but they keep disappointing me with messing up my...
