Pho Fresh Alley & Boba Tea — Restaurant in Tempe

Finally decided to stop and grab a bite here after walking or driving past it a million times!

First things first, the atmosphere I here is pretty cool. The lighting is my favorite part.

It was dinner time and a good thing I hadn’t eaten yet today- The portions are huge and generous.

I got the grilled pork rice noodles (vermicelli), which comes with 2 egg rolls. Absolutely delicious. I opted for the Vietnamese fish sauce with it. The pork is marinated and grilled beautifully, and the veggies are fresh and flavorful

I also got a Banh Mi and opted for grilled chicken since my noodle bowl already had pork. It was also fantastic. The baguette was crusty and fresh, the picked veggies, jalapeño and cilantro added a ton of kick, and the chicken was flavorful. The sandwich was a little heavy with the mayo (which I wasn’t mad about 😅) and I added some sriracha as well. Delectable.

Finally I got the iced “Alley coffee” to wash it down, and this stuff is no joke. Very sweet and creamy, yet the coffee is very strong. I’ll be sipping on this for the next few hours I imagine.

True to the name of the place, there’s a wide menu of boba teas, fruit teas, Vietnamese iced coffees and other handmade beverages.

I usually order via delivery app and am quite satisfied with the product. I found the acutal location quite close to where i live so i decided to go in. The location is in a spot that if you blink you will miss it, with the construction u will have to turn around and come back in. Its in a shared location with other businesses, beware when parking. The inside is quite nice. Workers are ready to assist with order. If you eat in they give u a number, if take out they let u know when the order is ready via calling out the number on receipt. There is wifi (yeah) and free water. Read the sign completely on the water because at first glance it looks like it says hand sanitizer. Lol. The wait time is reasonable for luke warm soup and missing side dish. My cons of the place is workers take order then sit down and get on phone. Also part of the order was missing and the guy searched thru receipts to see if the item was ordered even with the order taker telling him it was ordered. The presentation of the items when came out was not the best. Yes i took them but will not order it again. Over all it was a good expereince. I don't know why this establishment has almost 5 stars, maybe it was just a bad day for us and them. Either way the experience was 1 star or less. I'll start with:

The customer service: Rude, not attentive Brought the peoples food we were with that Ordered after us first and brought food in stages so we all had to wait for other peoplea food before we could eat.

The food: Ordered shrimp fried rice, hard rice flavorless. PHO had no flavor, worst I've experienced Ordered salt / pepper chicken and the server brought us 1 type of chicken and when we questioned it she said that it was the wrong plate, seriously went to the other side of the establishment and came right back with the same plate of chicken and placed it down when we asked her why it looks the same she said it wasn't and she used the wrong words earlier. Ordered spring rolls, dipping sauce was watered down. Soy sauce appeared to be watered down, no flavor.

And then the kicker, my daughters chair broke while she was sitting in it and no one .. not a single person cared or came to see if she was ok, I had to ask for help and all they said was how did that happen.
