Sunmerry Bakery is a wonderful addition to the baking scene in the SGV. With roots in Japan and Taiwan, Sunmerry has brought their unique blend of Japanese baking techniques and local Taiwanese flavors to the US market, creating a truly unique and delicious experience for customers.

The pride that Sunmerry takes in their baking expertise is evident in every product they offer. Each item is made with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite is packed with flavor and texture. And with a commitment to creating new products that match local flavors, there's always something new and exciting to try at Sunmerry.

What's truly remarkable about Sunmerry, though, is their focus on the customer. As a family company, they measure their growth not by the number of stores or sales, but by the satisfaction of their customers. This is evident in the quality of their products and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of their stores.

Overall, Sunmerry Bakery is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves baked goods. With their unique blend of Japanese and Taiwanese flavors, commitment to quality, and focus on customer satisfaction, Sunmerry is sure to become a household name in the US, just as it has in Taipei.

Additionally, Sunmerry Bakery offers a range of innovative and delicious products that are sure to delight any customer. Their cheese tea, for example, has a pleasant and unexpected subtle saltiness that adds a unique twist to the classic drink. With a flavor that's reminiscent of a cheesecake in liquid form, it's a must-try for anyone looking for something new and exciting.

And if you're in the mood for something sweet, Sunmerry's fluffy rainbow rolls are a must-try. These rolls are light, airy, and melt in your mouth, making them the perfect indulgence for any occasion. What's more, Sunmerry is always coming up with new products, so there's always something fresh and exciting to try each time you visit.

In summary, Sunmerry Bakery is a gem of a bakery that offers a unique blend of Japanese and Taiwanese flavors, commitment to quality, and innovative baking techniques. Whether you're in the mood for a savory treat like cheese tea or a sweet indulgence like their fluffy rainbow rolls, Sunmerry Bakery is sure to have something that will satisfy...

It's my first time here, and walking in, it felt a little bit fancier than an 85* or Paris Baguette. I had visited shortly after they opened for the day, and a few employees were placing fresh pastries in mini bags to be displayed for people to grab an go. They seemed to have a signature item called a Bolo. I had asked one of the girls there is this like the pineapple bun that most places have? She didn't know. I asked about the BBQ bolo, and all she could tell me was that it had the red wet meat in it. It's not the best explanation, but I just kept working my way around. Once, I was at the register to pay. I asked the lady about the Boli bun again, and she was like, there's no pineapple in it. I had to educate her and tell her they call it a pineapple bun because the outside texture was like a pineapple. There was one other lady who worked there that stepped in and answered my questions about the drinks. She was super knowledgeable and helpful. Items I purchased:

Iced mango matcha - This was a delicious drink. I'm happy I had picked this instead of a Vietnamese coffee. The matcha was fluffy and thick like a milkshake with the mango it was perfection.

Chocolate concha - I love the chocolate pieces on the outside and the surprise hazelnut on the inside. This was easily one of my favorites.

Bolo bun - Basically a pineapple bun.

Taro mochi - Nice and fluffy. I kind of wished it had a little more taro in it.

Strawberry and matcha white chocolate donut - Very tasty and chewy. I liked that it didn't have a greasy feel to it.

Strawberry cloud donut - This was a delicious surprise. Nice and fluffy. Strawberry filling wasn't overly sweet.

Almond cookies - Crispy and flavorful

Peanut brittle candy - My family enjoyed this. Crunchy and not overly sweet.

Overall, everything I tried was amazing. I can't wait to come back and try the Japanese bagels. My only recommendation is to educate employees a little more on the items being sold. It's unappealing when employees don't know the items or let...

Their bread is always fresh & delicious, my favorite has become the pudding breads for sweet & Tuna for something salty. Teas are always good especially the Jasmine Lemon Green tea.

Edit: May 2, 2025

I never had issues with service at sunmerry and I've always gotten their teas dozens of times but today today's server was Nicole W who had gotten my order completely wrong. Ordered a tiger coffee but she gave me a tiger milk tea & my Jasmin Lemon GT had no sugar at all when i had ordered it with regular sugar. Other than that, their drinks are typically on point...

For boutique bakeries, this is reasonably priced. Frank rolls, tuna pastries, Mochi-based pastries, brioche, are some of special ones that are on the shelf, where they sometimes run buy 5 get 1 free in the evenings. There is a cake section. $34 for 8" walnut mocha cake, tiramisu. Specialty drinks are a tad cheaper than the boba places popping up all over the area.
