Called Cellfix on Saturday asking if they could fix a crack on my Apple Watch. Ryan said they could and they had the replacement part and if would cost $247. My watch was fully functional and I just didnât like the way it looked with the crack in the glass. He said they should be able to fix it today or the latest Sunday. He took my number and said he will call when itâs done. No one called on Saturday or Sunday so I tried to call the store but the number was not being answered. I drove by the store and the sign said it was open but the door was closed. I went by again later in the day and no one there. I called numerous times but no voicemail and phone just rang.
Monday I called many times and and no one Picked up. I drove by at 4:00 and the store was open. I talked to Marie and she said they tried to fix it but realized once they took off the old display they had the wrong part and they tried to get it to work but it was the wrong part. She said the new part would be in Wednesday and I could pick it up later in the day. Called again and no answer so I drove to the store and Marie said it should be available later in the day. No one called me with a status so I drove by Thursday and was told the Manager would be bringing it back from the shop. I called on Friday and asked for a status and was told the part hadnât come in even though I was told it was there on Wednesday.
At this point I knew this place had no clue what they were doing so I requested a refund and a return of my working watch with a crack in the display. My refund was issued and they handed me back my watch all wrapped up in paper and rubber bands. I unwrapped my watch to wear it and the display was blank and many new scratches were around to screen. The watch would not power up and Marie called the Manager who said it just needed to be charged. So Marie put it in the charger and said come back later. An hour later I came back and the display was still blank. She said they did try to fix it with the wrong part and the original was now damaged. They did put the original display back on and didnât test to see if it worked or did and hoped I would not open up the packaging in the store. I asked her what can be done to resolve this and she said they werenât responsible. She told me it was store policy to only refund the amount charged and they can do nothing to resolve the fact that it worked when I dropped it off and now it wonât even work. I requested the store manager phone number and she refused to give it to me. I asked for some resolution or compensation and she refused.
I let them know this was unacceptable and I would pursue it further. I left my name and number and asked for the Manager or owner to call me. Also all the information came directly from the Manager because she had to call him repeatedly to get any kind of status.
I also looked up on the Better Business Bureau and reviews reflected very similar experiences as mind.
Iâve yet to receive a phone call from the Manager and there is no customer service number.

   Read moreUPDATE: I left the country on August 19, my phone wasn't fixed yet. I came back on September 14 and my phone was finally ready. I am relieved the job has been done, and done right. Some efforts have also been made in terms of friendly communication. For that reason I raise my review from 1 star to 2 stars. I wish I could give a better feedback... Since I picked up my phone - less than 24 hours - I have been asked twice to "fix my review"... If only they would have been so quick to call me when I was desperately waiting for some news during the 3 months it took to repair my screen.
INITIAL REVIEW (August 15): I have had a terrible experience with this business so far. They are unprofessional, unreliable, they might be good techs but they don't know anything about customer service. I dropped off my phone on May 24 to get the screen fixed. About 2 weeks later I call them because no one had called me yet. I was told they hadn't received the part. Then, every 10 to 14 days I would call because they would NEVER call me. By the end of June I am finally told that they had received a defective part and ordered a new one and waiting for it. You would think they would call me to let me know... And then again I would call every 10 to 14 days to get an update... Every time the person on the phone sounded annoyed and would tell me the same thing with a less than fiendly tone "well the part comes from China so it takes time. I will call you when the phone is ready." Today, July 31 I talked with them again and was told that I was already told the part had to be reordered several times because it came defective everytime, but that was a big lie since I was told it was reordered only once! After insisting on getting details I am told that they could reorder the part today (does it mean they just received a defective screen? Who knows, there is 0% transparency with them!) but it would take 22 more days, or I could get a refund instead đ¨. I tried to make them understand that getting a refund and my broken phone back more than 2 months after dropping it off would be just unacceptable but they seem to really not care đ. Eventually I told them to order the part. Now am going to see if they do anything that could improve this review. In the meantime I wouldn't recommend anyone to work with CellFix of Temple Terrace. You might be lucky, but if anything doesn't go as planned on their end they won't be able to...
