Bella Blue Cafe — Restaurant in Temple

Upon walking in, you are greeted with the offer to sit wherever. Unfortunately, this comes with wading through endlessly messy tables and ensures slight difficulty in finding a place to sit. After seating myself in the cleanest table visible, I ordered an appetizer of fried cheese curds. The cheese curds should have come with marinara and ranch, but came with two sides of ranch. Unfortunately for me, the ranch was not able to ensure that the cheese curds had enough flavor to be edible. They were hot, but had no taste other than straight cheese. After a disappointment to begin with, I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of Mac and cheese and a cheeseburger with a side of fries. Thankfully, they ensured both burgers were made as asked, with no mustard or mayo on one. Again I was disappointed, as the burgers were extremely greasy, including the top and bottom buns, and had no flavor whatsoever. The Mac and cheese tasted like they did not add milk or butter, and just was made with water and the kraft packet. Again, no flavor whatsoever. The fries came out crispy and golden, almost perfect except for the lack of seasoning on them as well. While the food here may look extremely appealing, there is the unappealing factors of the cleanliness and ability to use flavor to appeal to guests. Probably a great place to come if you're not interested in flavorful food, or if you're over the age of 50. The bathrooms were not very clean, and the women's had a clogged toilet that I unclogged with a plunger hidden in the corner. There was very little toilet paper, and no paper towels to wipe my hands. The air vent in the restroom unfortunately was extremely dirty, and was a unpleasant thing to look at while doing my business. Had a wonderful time with family at the Belton 4th of July parade just to come here and be left highly upset. From the get go walking in the door the service was horrendous. Family of 7 eating and the drink order was a complete disaster. Two teas ordered and we ended up with 5 teas 2 waters along with the other drinks. Needless to say to say we had about 11 drinks on our table that they were like well look there, you won’t need a refill, and left all 11 drinks on the table with 3 small kids seated around (only accommodated one kids cup as well for them). Then the food order was a mess and the burgers are the closest resemblance to a school cafeteria burger then you can get. Stay away from the burger. The SOS and eggs were spot on but you can’t really mess that up. My wife ordered a burger and was a bit disgusted by the taste so she re ordered a fried chicken salad which was not disappointing at all. The food was awesome on most items ordered. Kids loved the burgers btw lol so there’s that. The waitress kept constantly asking if we needed any refills or more sweet tea the whole time lol which was pretty funny to me with the fact we had all the drinks around the table. Service was the main issue here. Please go see all my other reviews, I rarely leave anything like THIS. Last but not least we got seated underneath a air vent that constantly dripped on my wife so I switched her seats so it wasn’t as bothersome to myself. Until it fell into our drinks. Highly upset that I paid a $113.88 bill when I was not at all satisfied. I will not return but with some good service and work, this place has potential, just not today....

A very nice down to home restaurant. Lot's of locals go here. Comfort food at its finest. Ordered a chef salad and "Wow" it was great. Very clean and service was excellent.
