My husband and I finally had some time to check this place out. It has been on our list of places to try out. Upon arriving, we were pleased to see a bright new spot in a row of mostly empty storefronts in downtown Temple. Walking inside, the place was clean, bright, modern but very no-frills. We were greeted warmly by all of the visible staff and seated almost immediately. The dining area is small but quiet. Not overly busy for a Friday night but enough to be reassuring for a first timer. We, as always, ordered far too much for two and a half people. We started with the Fried Curry Fish Cakes with Cucumber Salad and my husband had a bowl of Tom Kha with chicken. The fish cakes were...not our favourite but I doubt very much that it was a problem of preparation. Just were not fond of the texture or flavour. The Tom Kha was fantastic. My spoon found its way into his soup more than a couple of times. For entrees my husband had the Massaman Curry, spicy (as usual) and I had the Curry Noodle Soup, spicy. The food is fantastic. We were extremely happy with the quality and taste of all of the dishes. Even our picky toddler was digging in to her kids' plate of chow mein. Thai Cafe is one of, if not, the best Thai restaurants in the local area. Most certainly top 2. We will definitely be back and hope that Thai Cafe will be a part of the revitalization of the Temple downtown.

The two young ladies who run this place literally run themselves to death. It's not a very large place, but there are five steps leading up into the dining room, and to watch them go up and down them gracefully and repeatedly whilst carrying platters of food was nothing short of Olympic. The four-star rating (instead of five) is just because I was seated after about 10 minutes of waiting, and then while I was waiting at the table to have my order taken, a couple walked in and placed a to-go order – – when I had not yet had my order taken. I found that a little unsatisfactory. But the food was absolutely divine – – this is by far THE BEST drunken noodles ever, and we've lived all over the world, twice in Asia. Also? If you can't do spicy, ask for absolutely ZERO spice. Mine was "mild," and it cleared my sinuses. In a good way. I can't wait to bring my husband here for lunch on Saturday. Cat was divine as a server, and she really is underpaid at any rate/tip (I tipped her 25%). And after having read a few reviews while I was sitting there waiting for my food, I have to concur regarding the wings: as crispy and delicious as they are, they are undersalted. You can smell the garlic but not really taste it much. Perhaps they should marinate them in fish sauce and garlic before they flash-fry them. But they were still excellent.

Good evening, I won't be rude, but I will say what I think about the food I ordered, to begin with, it took an hour for my food to arrive, mind you, I ordered from that place because my wife recommended it, but when they served me the food, all I saw was colorless rice and full of white onions, I want to believe that they have a bad cook, it is the worst fried rice I have ever tasted, I was a cook for 20 years, I worked in large restaurants, but never in my life as a cook have I presented food like that, it is an embarrassment to your restaurant, but well, I would not order food from that restaurant again, I speak from experience because I am Peruvian, one of the best gastronomy in the world, the best restaurant is Peruvian, and I know a lot about international food, thank you

Ok .. so not sure where the other reviews derive from, but this pretty sub par Thai food. Let me start by saying I LOVE Thai food, so much so I've worked in a fine dining 5 star one at the beach ( Uber authentic) and one down town back home. ( verrrry good) and where ever I go/move to the first thing I try is Thai. Do that said here are The negatives: Worst spring rolls I've ever had, literally tastes like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store. Almost like the Chinese egg roll/spring rolls. Spongey a bit, mushy inside .. most assuredly not fresh made. The pad Thai: decent ish by that I mean they are open on Sunday's and not one other place is, so if I had a real crazving I might order it again, although highly doubtful. Very little flavor.. pretty plain. And the chicken is blah which brings me to the TOM KHA the broth was ok - I literally picked everything else out. Giant pieces of onion, not a fan of baby corn ( however I don't hold that against them), not a fan of Chinese mushrooms either. My biggest complaint here is the GROSS chicken. It's chewy and lots of hard cartlidge attached. I actually fed it it to my dog lol. I had such high hopes after reading the other reviews :(. A waste of money for sure. I hate leaving bad reviews, but when you feel like you simply threw your money in the trash after you eat because you threw most of the food away,it makes you want to leave a bad review. Only pluses: It's open on Sunday. The people who answe the phone are polite, and courteous. Oh and their Thai is deftly good ( I've had better, to me.. it's either too much half and half or the tea isn't potent enough) . I very much preferred the original Thai place there- that said.. I'll stick with mee mees from here on out. Such a bummer as I love downtown, and this woulda been awesome for my Sunday...
