My husband and I decided to try this brand new spot on a whim, and we are so glad we did. First, the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Second, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It has an upscale atmosphere to it, and you’ll find the food shares the same vibe. I was thrilled to see they served lamb. Lastly, but certainly not least, everything we tried was phenomenal. The crab cakes were perfectly breaded and cooked I wish I could have had more. My husband had the hanger steak and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The garnishes and purple potatoes were all seasoned well. The lamb was cooked and seasoned to my liking, as I didn’t (or couldn’t) want to stop eating it. I absolutely loved the mushrooms that came with my lamb, I wish there would have been more, but that is just me… Lol. We opted to try both desserts available, with the first being the limoncello cake, which was rich and the icing was perfectly sweet, but not overpowering. The brown butter ricotta cheesecake was divine… A smooth well balanced concoction that dances across your palate, easily making it my favorite dessert I have had in a long time. The prices we paid for the food certainly made it a steal overall. If you haven’t stopped by yet, and you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and give it a try. I look forward to trying what the chef has when the full menu is released!

Came in for our anniversary dinner tonight. We were the only ones in the restaurant but we were eating early (more people came in as the evening progressed). We sat and our order was taken. I ordered an Old Fashioned and the waitress asked if I cared what it was made with and that they used Jack Daniels. Uh, Yes, I do care! I asked for Makers Mark, a proper bourbon, and I was up charged for it. The menu clearly states their old fashioned is made with bourbon, not Tennessee Whiskey. Then our food came out. I had the Ravioli Diablo and it was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. My wife had Chicken Genovese and although the chicken was overdone (I saw her trying to saw through part of the chicken with her knife) it was tasty, mostly because of the cream sauce. For dessert we had the cheesecake. It was just OK, nothing to write home about, but I wouldn't order it again. All in all, we had a nice night out but I did have to remove a star for trying to replace bourbon with JD (when the menu says bourbon) and then up charging for the bourbon. Give them a try, I found prices were very reasonable and staff helpful and friendly.

My husband and I had the opportunity to try out 17 East Main this week for lunch. We shared the caprese heirloom appetizer and it was delicious. The roasted basil enhanced the flavor amazingly. My husband enjoyed the butcher’s cut steak perfectly cooked with chimichurri. The sauce was amazingly fresh bringing out the hanger’s flavor. I had the braised chicken which is not on the lunch menu, but one that was recommended. Keith the chef made it available. Oh my goodness was it amazing. The chicken, mushrooms and sauce were perfectly matched. Selecting one dessert was difficult. My husband doesn’t eat sweets so I could only try one. The tiramisu is absolutely amazing! I plan to try the cheesecake next time. Have you ever heard of brown butter cheesecake! The description sounds divine! All food was hot, delicious, and beautifully presented. We look forward to attending the Valentine’s special menu in a few weeks. If our lunch experience is any indication, celebrating a special occasion will surpass our expectations.

I’ve read the reviews which lead me to try this restaurant and I must say; either I’m the only one with bad luck or these reviews are questionable (at best).

Upon arriving, I was greeted by the hostess with a kind and warm attitude (very welcoming). I was seated instantly and greeted by my waiter (very attentive). From that point, it went downhill.

I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes without the goat cheese and was told that these are premade but he (my waiter) will talk to the chef. He was successful. I also ordered the Fried Risotto Bites. My Fried Green Tomatoes lacked seasoning as well as my risotto bites. Definitely underwhelming. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Although the taste was amazing, my sauce was on the runny/watery side and my serving size was smaller than I hoped for. My margarita was quite refreshing which enabled me to eat my bland appetizers.

Overall, my experience was less than desirable and moderately disappointing. I would hate to believe that 30+ reviews sent me to a disappointing dining experience so I’m gonna say that I had the luckiest unlucky night. I may try again someday but it will not be...

My husband and I had dinner here last night and we can confidently say we’ll be regulars! First, Ken was our server and he was awesome! Great recommendations on both drinks and food. Checked on us regularly, our drink were never empty, great conversation. The food…OMG! We enjoyed the risotto tots and salmon ceviche for appetizers. Both were delicious and flavorful. I also had the blue cheese wedge salad, one of my favs and it did not disappoint. For our main meals, my husband had a ribeye special and he said it was the best steak he’s ever had. It was topped with a crab cream sauce and shrimp, broccolini and risotto on the side. I kept stealing bites of the risotto off his plate, it was so good. I had the ravioli diablo. The sauce was so creamy and had so much flavor, perfectly cooked cheese ravioli, juicy chicken and shrimp. For dessert we shared a moist Kahlua chocolate cake. My husband isn’t one for dessert and even he couldn’t stop eating it. All in all, the service, the atmosphere, the drinks, the food, it all made for such a perfect date night and we couldn’t have loved it more. We cannot wait to go back and try even more of the...
